Stayed here again for the second year running and the Carn Brae did not disappoint. I can see that the owner is doing the rooms up as the room we stayed in was even better than last year. The room had a good view of the beach and was very clean. Although it is located away from the tower and...

Stayed here with my wife and two kids aged 12 and 8. Booked a family room for 4 nights. We ended up staying in the Carn Suite which consisted of two bedrooms in the one room. It was great! We had loads of room and the kids loved having their own room. The lady on reception when we checked in...

Not very modern decor and some areas cleaner than others, we were the only people in the bar on the evening so played cards with the youngest of...

Hairdryer , lots of plug sockets, bedroom furniture all matching and new. Comfortable clean bed, extra pillows in the wardrobe with HANGERS, dressing table mirror and...

Booked last minute and definitely made the wrong choice. Old,dated and almost creepy hotel. Realised on the morning that the room was so hot because the radiators were on. The waitress at breakfast told us that it's the law for radiators to be on in hotels!!! Breakfast was the only reasonable thing about the place but even having a table...

Had 3 rooms at this hotel for a family break. Rooms were extremely outdated, artex walls, dado, 70s furniture, old drippy shower nothing like photos on site. Bed was however clean and comfy and dining and bar areas were spotless. Owners were nice but staff at breakfast rude and unhelpful. Windows too grubby to see sea view!
