Stayed at the hotel last week, it was a lovely small seafront hotel. Andy was the perfect host! We had a seafront room with a fabulous view, we were facing the south pier and promenade. We stayed in Room 1 which had a fab new bathroom. Breakfast was really good and set up us for the day. Due to covid the lounge was shut and the breakfast room was set up inline with PPE. We parked across the road at the Sandcastle which was only a couple of minutes walk. We also had a tram stop right facing the hotel. We would not hesitate staying again - thank you Andy

We booked as a family of four to stay in Blackpool during a busy period as the seafront has illuminations and international fireworks on throughout September. We were delighted to get in a brilliant location as this hotel is located right on the seafront. Prior to arrival Andy (Manager) sent us text messages to see if he could help with parking and advised he could arrange private parking close by for us if we didn’t want to try looking for a space near to the hotel as the streets surrounding would be congested because of the volume of people visiting during that weekend. Andy told us to expect up to 1hr of extra traffic arriving into Blackpool after 5-6pm and asked what time we could expect to arrive with him so everything would be ready for our stay. When we arrived Andy greeted us at the door, made genuine effort with our children and straight away made us all feel very welcome. We were shown around and given times breakfast would be served and shown our allocated table for the included breakfast on a morning. We found this to be really good as we knew exactly where we were expected to sit on a morning, also the table was prepared to the number of guests we had in our party as well as catering for our children. While a large teapot of tea was provided to your table, Coffee was a help yourself service as well as various fresh juices and a great selection of breakfast cereals and toast on offer, all while a cooked breakfast was served to your table with a smile. This breakfast was beautiful. Our room was large and provided us with a very comfy double bed, a large bunk bed drawers and side cabinets everything that was needed really. On top of the large drawers was a TV so we could watch TV in our room if we wanted, there was also a kettle and condiments which were topped up daily. Our room was also provided with an en-suite which included a powerful warm shower, clean toilet and wash basin perfect for what we needed really. Downstairs was a large communal lounge overlooking the sea which was comfy and homely. Games and books were on offer on a large bookshelf to keep the children and guests entertained. We sat here a few times to watch some TV and enjoy a takeaway. Andy was very friendly and helpful during our stay, always showing interest in what we were doing and giving suggestions on local amenities to make our stay more pleasant and memorable. Andy was also able to present us with a discount voucher for our family to receive 30% discount on some of the famous attractions Blackpool is famous for. The hotel is clean and tidy and hard work is apparent to make all guests have an enjoyable stay as possible. The property is large and old which is also visible in some areas, however the hotel is and has been receiving large modernisation work carried out. We certainly weren’t expecting the Hilton and we certainly were not disappointed. We personally as a family would prefer to stay in a property with some character where you feel welcomed and enjoy your stay more like home rather than stay in something where you pay over the odds, aren’t really comfy and feel like you are just ‘another guest’ because of this personal touch we have already booked again next year and this time have booked a number of rooms for our further family and friends to enjoy the stay with us. Do not rule this place out because you may get a hotel with more luxurious fixtures and fittings from pictures at a similar cost. Location and service from Andy alone we would always make this first choice. Thanks again for making us feel welcome.
