I do like a place with a history .. and this fits that bill. Originally a school and has had many transitions. Warm welcome. Fresh clean room and well deserved reputation for a great breakfast. Happy to recommend this as a place to stay in Lincoln.

This hotel is situated in the old part of the city close to the castle and cathedral.A very comfortable place to stay and explore. The bedrooms are on the small side and need some updating.. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were fine and Sunday lunch just what i liked. Parking is restricted.

This was our first time at this hotel and we weren't disappointed. A really clean and tidy hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Breakfast very tasty. The hotel is situated in a great place for the castle and the cathedral (our room had a good view of both) with plenty of pubs and places to eat a short stroll...

We stayed here during a short visit in October 2016. With hindsight, after staying in a different and very corporate hotel this time in March 2017, we realised what a little gem the Castle Hotel was for the price, with a very comfortable room and an appetising cooked breakfast included in the rate. There is a small free car park...

Friendly staff, great location, great breakfast, perhaps not enough added value for a premium hotel. Decor was good but a bit tired. Big stain on the carpet bathroom needed attention and room was on the small side. All round it was pretty good but could have been awesome.

All went smoothly ... the room was nice ... breakfast good standard and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a shame that the restaurant was closed when we stayed but the hotel is in a great location in the middle of everything. Would stay there again.

We chose this hotel on the basis of reviews and price. We were not disappointed. We had warm welcome from all staff, the bonus of an unexpected complimentary room upgrade and very good food. The reception area is chic and modern. the seating comfortable. The dining room is not over large and has a pleasantly sociable feeling at non-busy times....

Very historic hotel. Has many interesting pictures of days gone by which capture the imagination. Rooms very comfortable with all that you would need. Great views of the cathedral which is beautiful at night when lit up. Plenty of parking available near by.

Great hotel, warm, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast, location perfect for exploring the castle & cathedral as they are on your doorstep, would definitely stay here again! It was my husbands birthday & I had some decorations that I wanted in our room, gentleman on reception was very obliging and helped in every way he could, brilliant!

I stayed in a single Executive room. Nice and clean but hardly room to move and breakfast was NOT included despite assurances when booking. Would go again, but make sure to read the smallprint. Very noisy guests in the next room, which made sleeping almost impossible. Windows did not open for fresh air.
