I stayed there on 2nd February; it's a really nice little place at very reasonable rates..I recommend it especially for fans travelling for Liverpool games as I was..
The manager Pat is a really friendly guy and the service is great...more people should take advantage if they're coming for games in particular..
It's a hostel so you can't expect so much, but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable and the price is very reasonable..toilets are good too..I'm not sure if they have ensuite rooms..it's also near to the King Harry pub which is a staple pub for match-goers before and after the game..

I enjoyed the Strawberry House a lot; it's a comfortable place to stay and located close enough to walk to the Sandhills rail station. Most of all, I appreciated how kind and helpful the proprietor was. I missed the first night of my reservation and wasn't able to call ahead and alert him, so he would've been within his rights to bill me for it and cancel the remaining nights of my booking. Instead, he held the bed for me and let me come stay the other two nights I'd reserved. That was a huge help and I would've been in bad shape if he hadn't been so nice to me.
