Property's Favourite Review
Great place to stay, excellent location for sightseeing and nightlife but very quiet. Clean, modern apartment with a basic kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Parking available for a fee but so convenient. Nice to have a bar and breakfast facilities onsite. Very friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights for a sightseeing trip with husband and 9 year old son. I had booked a stadium tour at Anfield for 3pm so messaged hotel ahead to ask if we could check in an hour early. They said they couldn’t guarantee it but on arrival our room was ready.
It was a very compact room for 3 people but very modern and clean with a pristine kitchenette. The double bed was very comfortable but unfortunately was against a wall on one side which made access difficult. The sofa bed was big enough for a child and folded out easily but there wasn’t a lot of room when made into bed. The kitchenette was very close to the bed , we prepared breakfast but wouldn’t haven’t wanted to cook a full meal although it was spotless and well equipped. The shower room was very clean and modern but tiny and you had to be careful if someone was at the basin as it was right behind the door. The shower was large and easy to operate.
We had breakfast on the second morning which was excellent value at£7.95 per adult and kids eat free. The pancake maker was a hit with our 9 year old.
The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel was in an excellent location right next to StJames Street station and one road behind ferry port.
Would stay again for a night or two.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave us with some feedback from your recent family stay here at Staycity. It is great to see you enjoyed so many aspects of your trip, especially the pancake machine and the location! We do offer some larger apartments, it would be great to see you again maybe in one of our bigger rooms. This may be more suited to your needs. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Best wishes Hannah Staycity Reception Team

Leaving this review so late because upon booking again, I realised I forgot to comment.
Stay was wonderful from start to finish. I stayed here mainly because of the kitchen facilities. I wake really early so being able to make my own breakfast was ideal.
Everything was very clean, the studio apartment was large enough for myself (as a solo traveller) and there was a comfortable atmosphere.
Felt happy being able to come and go throughout the day.
I have an invisible disability but they were happy to put me in a room right by the lift with no fuss. The location is very close to a small Sainsbury's and in between 2 Tesco Express stores. On my first full day I took an early walk to the Tesco Superstore in the city centre. Very easy to find and had everything you could need for a stay.
If you're like me and don't have the energy to wash up, the nearest Poundland sells a pack of 6 dishwasher tablets for £1 which was a life saver!
They didn't take a deposit off me, i'm assuming because I was a solo traveller? And allowed me to check in a little early which was nice.
A really wonderful trip. As stated at the start, i've just rebooked so I can visit the remaining museums that I sadly couldn't see first time round.
My only slight grumble was the height of the bed, but i'm only 4ft 10 so even normal beds are a struggle at times!
Highly recommend. Can't wait to visit again in March!

A great value for money deal in a central location - 5 min walk into the City centre and 10min drive to Anfield.
The aparthotel was clean and tidy, our room was spacious and provided all amenities for a short stay. Fair selection of food and drink from the restaurant and bar.
One slight issue regarding parking as it was not made clear that it was necessary to book a car park space in advance. When speaking to reception upon arrival, I was advised to move my car to the local Liverpool One car park instead. Perhaps this is something that can be resolved when booking or made clearer to guests.

Just spent four nights in a one bedroom apartment with my daughter. Very impressed as not expensive and more space than your average hotel room.
Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, very quiet throughout our stay and the heating/hot water was plentiful. Excellent location. Many extras provided in the kitchen area.
Arriving late on our first night we were able to heat up ready meals which saved us going out. Likewise did our own breakfasts so could relax and just enjoy our apartment. Convenient Sainsbury's up the road for supplies. Plenty of bars, restaurants, etc on the doorstep when required. Five minute walk down to Pier Head. Close to main shopping area and the Cavern.
Staff friendly so we look forward to returning. Sad to be home. Liverpool as always, never disappoints.

We stayed here for two nights and the staff were fab. Livia and the team were helpful in resolving issues.
What’s great is that you can use a QR code to contact the staff and liaise with them from the room, instead of doing a face to face at reception. For instance, the bathroom’s bathing and handwashing gels needed replenishing when we checked in, and this was done in 20 minutes. As there was a cold front and city was wet and cold, we needed the towel rack in the bathroom to work. Though it was already after 9 pm, staff promised to send someone to deal with it at 10 am the next day.
The room was a nice size, and came with dishwasher, fridge and microwave. You can also opt to order the hotel’s breakfast if you do not plan to cook. Washers and dryers are available for a fee on the ground floor.
There were ample power points, and the hotel is in a great location for accessing the Albert Docks, Mersey Ferries, Beatles Story and the various museums like Tate, Maritime and Liverpool museum. Liverpool One, with John Lewis and the myriad of shops and eateries, as well as major sites like Cavern Club, are just a few minutes’ walk away.
There was some noise from guests returning late one evening at 3 am.
There were a couple of cons. The bathroom had a weird smell of some sewage, that could not be remedied. One side of the bed was placed so near to,the wall that it was difficult for my wife, who is rather petite, to extricate herself from the bed.
We paid for parking for two days at the carpark next to the hotel. It has rather cramped lots, and is accessible via a covered shutter. When you reach the shutter, you need to call the hotel reception to get them to raise it. This predisposes the fact that hotel guests have access to a working UK hp number. Not sure how this can be finetuned, unless there is an intercom set up.
Tbh, hotel staff were quick to respond to my queries when I was asking about parking in the weeks prior to the visit, and were helpful in setting it up.

One night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment on the eighth floor. Really impressed with the apartment, a lot of space, decent size rooms. Well equipped kitchen (supplied with washing up liquid, tea towel, sponge tea coffee sugar and milk). Apartment was clean, had a view towards Albert Dock. Staff at reception were really helpful, allowed us to check in a lot earlier which was great. Car park is nice and secure (maybe not very accessible as I didn't notice a lift). Location was also perfect one street away from the Dock area so about a 10 minute walk to Albert Dock, on the other side 1 street away from the city bars and shops. Paid for breakfast which was fairly standard buffet offering - toast, pastries, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese, pancakes and bacon or sausage cobs on request. Only slight things I wasn't keen on were the very dark black corridors, not great until the automatic light kicks in and the lift one of them in particular makes a really worrying clanking noise. Otherwise excellent would thoroughly recommend.

Chose this apartment over others as could reserve a parking space during the booking. The apartment entrance and car park was down a narrow street that was a little hard to find, but once found it was very easy and central to the shopping area and Liverpool attractions. Apartment was very comfortable with 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed and kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable and the sofabed ok and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free for under 10's and we all thought it was very good and varied. Thanks Staycity, we will be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week in a one bedroom apartment with my partner and our youngest (aged 12). On the whole it was a pleasant stay. The price we paid was very reasonable and the location was ideal – close to lots of attractions, restaurants and shops and added bonus of secured parking next door for an additional fee. The apartment itself was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed – apart from there was no real storage in the bedroom at all and only one very small wardrobe for us all to share (located in the living area) plus only 1 chair and a stool at the table (considering there were 3 of us and this apartment sleeps up to 4 a little more wardrobe and storage space and a chair each would have been appreciated – the wardrobe was very small and already contained all the spare bedding, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc so no real space for our actual clothes and we had to keep most of them in our cases - likewise no shelves anywhere for toiletries etc - and only 2 of us could sit at the table to eat breakfast).
Also, although the apartment itself was very clean the carpets in the corridor were not cleaned at all during our stay (glitter, dirt, hair band etc were on the floor the whole time we were there) also lots of finger and hand prints on doors and in lifts (these are areas I would have expected to be constantly cleaned due to Covid). However the real downside to our stay was that one morning at around 4.30am the fire alarm started sounding off intermittently. We all woke with a start when it first went off but after a few seconds it stopped so we were unsure what to do (the directions on the back of the door said to vacate if the alarm was continuous, but this was not). No staff appeared to advise us and reception were not answering the phone. When it then started up again and then stopped again other guests were coming out of their apartments and nobody knew whether to evacuate or whether it was a false alarm. Each time the alarm went off guests were coming out, discussing it, the alarm would then stop and they would go back inside until a few minutes later it would sound again and then stop again. After about 15 minutes my partner went down to see what was going on. After a further 10 minutes myself and our son went down to see where he was. Some people were still in their rooms, a few were in corridors, some were coming back up the stairs as we went down, several were congregating inside the hotel and others on the streets (some were in pyjamas, some fully dressed, others even had their luggage with them). There was a fire engine in the street and a couple of firemen but there were no staff to approach and nobody telling us what to do, the only information we received was from one of the firemen who said it was a false alarm but they could not work out how to turn the alarm off. Finally, after about 45 min of the alarm sounding and stopping we were told we could go back to our rooms. By now it was almost 5.20am and our son could not then get back to sleep. Had this been a real fire I am not sure there would have been enough staff to have ensured an evacuation, and, seeing as this was not a real fire, a little information would have been appreciated. We only saw one member of staff and they were at the fire alarm console in the reception area frantically trying to turn it off!

Yes, a 5 minute walk along Strand Street
Hi Abbie, the car park is only 10 seconds walk from the hotel. If you have booked parking for your full stay a space will be available for yourself. Once all spaces are pre booked they cannot be overbooked. The charge is £15 for an overnight space. You can come and go as you please. Hope that helps. David, Staycity.
It seemed to have oven and microwave and looked good but didn’t use. Would book again if I knew I wanted food or for more than one night.
