Stu, Claire and John.
Check in was easy and we were assigned a room on the second floor.
We travelled with our dog and saw another dog also there at the same time.
Our room was on the side facing a VERY busy main road which is loud ALL day. Even with the window closed it did very little to quieten the road noise. We also had a room above us that sounded like they were repeatedly dropping bowling balls on the floor until 3am.
This meant all 3 of us got very little sleep. Not what you expect when you are hoping for a relaxing weekend away.
The area around the hotel is busy too with a McDonald’s, KFC and Dominoes drivers taking most of the parking spaces or parking very inconsiderately.
We would not stay here again even if the price was low.
The worst-Breakfast was served in a box containing items that cost little more than two pounds though Travelodge charge you £5.25 The milk was difficult to open and spilt everywhere and my advice is go to Mcdonalds next door.
I would not recommend this hotel, low quality but this is not matched with a low price. How anyone cleaning that room would not notice the stench of sweat and do something about it is beyond me.
The room was absolutely boiling, with no individual room temperature control, just a window to crack open and a small fan.
The rooms don't look like the pictures and are quite small. The TV's could do with being bigger as the ones supplied are easily 10 years old and you can barely hear it over the traffic anyway. A brand new 28" led TV is only around £100 now.
Mould on ceiling in bathroom too. Probably unavoidable as there's no proper extractor fan - just a hole in the wall.
No onsite food/café so spent 4 days eating takeaway which I would've preferred not to do, as it's impractical to prepare food and impossible to cook obviously.
30 minutes free WiFi is absolutely absurd in 2021. To be expected to pay £3 or whatever it was for 24hr is just ridiculous. Not a bank breaker by any means, just greedy on the part of the company.
For £60 a night the value for money isn't there. If I visit Liverpool again on business I'll go elsewhere or get an air BnB.
Julie on the reception was brilliant!! Very helpful and a nice friendly face. First time staying in Liverpool so we asked her some questions and she was happy to help!
We briefly spoke about travel in to city centre went and got out bags and she had found a local taxi company that she said is the cheapest.
We also asked her for some extra spoons so we could eat some ice cream from the convenient dominos that's is joined to the hotel and she went and found sone straight away without an issue.
Would stay again, nice and pleasant staff and clean room
"Rooms are great quality and the staff are lovely warm and welcoming. Couldn’t ask for better staff on a hotel. Nothing bad to say. "Read full review
