Nestled in a prime spot, the Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel charms many guests with its easy access to local attractions and stunning views. However, the hotel's value proposition is met with scrutiny, as some travelers feel the cost of breakfast, parking, and beverages doesn't align with the level of quality and service they receive. While the hotel's staff are often lauded for their friendliness, guests have called out slow service at breakfast and noise disturbances as areas needing attention. The rooms, offering beautiful vistas for some, are frequently mentioned as requiring updates and improved cleanliness.

The Hotel and staff were very good and we were staying for 2 nights. The off site car park was easy to find when the very pleasant receptionist explained where to go and very secure and only £11.00 per day. We had payed for an upgrade to a room with a river view as this was very reasonable price too and very much worth it. The beds are very comfortable and our room had a wonderful shower/bathroom and was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. I was very impressed with the overall look and feel of the hotel although we did not spend a great deal of time there so could not comment on the bar or restaurant.
our Saturday night was spoiled by a group rowdy young guys who were next door and in various other rooms on our floor. They had clearly come for a big night out but as the walls are very thin and do little to dampen the noise of conversations etc from the adjoining rooms. At 3.00am the guys got back and woke us up with the noise which I thought would soon stop as they collapsed into bed. This was a wrong assumption as they proceeded to get ready to watch a late boxing match (Fury/Wilder) and invited many of the other lads in the group to the room. I had to report the noise as by 5.25 it was louder than ever as they got very excited and drawn in to the fight. A member of staff knocked the door and told them there had been a complaint this made little difference as they carried on celebrating until gone 6.00am.

Me and my partner stayed at the Mercure Liverpool over Christmas, and it was a really lovely break. The hotel is in such a great location being only a 10 minute walk to the central shopping/food area, and on the doorstep of Albert Dock which made our stay pleasurable. The staff are also very helpful/friendly

I wouldn't personally stay again as i feel the hotel itself is very basic, the rooms are really small - especially the bathroom, there was a rustic 'smell' to the room, the towels/sheets also had this smell which is off-putting. The walls were VERY THIN and you could hear everything, even water running in the rooms surrounding which woke me up in the morning.

I had a great deal on the price of the room for £67, i would not pay more really, breakfast was an additional cost which for me certainly wasn't worth it, and parking was also an extra £11. Overall the additional costs really let it down for me.

Whilst I appreciate your positive feedback in relation to the hotels location and the hospitality of the team I'm very sorry you were disturbed by other guests during your stay. We do have processes and procedures in place to minimise guest noise in the hotel and will always be very reactive when this is highlighted to us by other guests also. We stayed at The Mecure Hotel in Liverpool for bank holiday weekend. The hotel was very busy and we could hear very noisy guests having a heated discussion throughout night and early morning. The hotel was quite tired and needs to be freshened up. Our room was ok, lovely big window and had good view of the Mersey. The room itself was basic, bed was very comfortable and bed linen was white and spotless. The bathroom was very awkward as the loo was behind door. The staff on reception desk were friendly and when I asked for more tea and milk was just asked how many I would like. We did contemplate having drink in hotel bar but was too expensive so bought a bottle of Prosecco from Tesco and saved £15.

Great location and good view from room. Car park expensive, especially as not actually attached to hotel, a short walk away. Advertised as including full breakfast, which we felt was very poor. We understand restrictions due to Covid, but pubs, cafes and restaurants able to offer hit food. Breakfast in a bag, consisting of cold croissant, pat of butter and jam, yogurt, also small carton of orange juice- no knife, spoon or serviette. We paid extra charge for breakfast, we would not have wasted our money if we had been told this was all that is available. Dining room not open, so had to go down to collect and then take back to room, there was a charge of £5 to have it taken to room! Shower in bathroom was a joke, just dribble of water, although bath taps worked fine. No room cleaning, due to COVID, which we understand, but should have been told before booking. Had 4 pillows, but only 2 had pillowcases on. All in all, we feel overpriced and below standard, even with taking COVID issues into account.

Dear Sandra, Thank you for your review and I'm sorry that you were disappointed. Guest feedback is vital in the continual evaluation and improvement of our business and I can assure you that your comments will be discussed at length with the team here onsite. We have needed to make some amendments to our service offer here at the hotel due to COVID-19 and I'm sorry that these changes had a negative impact on your overall satisfaction. I do hope you find opportunity to join us again in the future and would look forward to welcoming you back once our full services resume. Kind Regards

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our staycation. The hotel has excellent covid19 measures in place, insisting that masks are worn in all public areas, one way in and out of reception and lots of hand sanitizer around and we always felt safe. Rooms are not being serviced once you have checked in, but clean towels and extra tea and coffee is supplied from reception.
We got a warm welcome when we arrived, and despite having a problem with our room on the first night this was quickly addressed and rectified by Nicky and the rest of our break was very enjoyable.
Breakfast on the first morning was a takeaway service but after that they were trialling using the dining room again. This worked well, you have to book a time slot as table numbers are being limited. You get a very personalised service from the staff and a great cooked breakfast is available to order. Tea and coffee is self service but everything else is brought out from the kitchen so there is no concern that other guests have handled your food and changed their minds.
The hotel has a few parking spaces close by and for reasonable daily rates.
Excellent location for exploring the city.

We stayed here for reunion of Liverpool Society of Change Ringers at it 60th anniversary. The room was comfortable and the food for the reunion celebration meal in the evening very good. A minor problem with the plumbing in the room was responded to and corrected within a few minutes. Some of our party rang the bells across the road for a longer time than usual as the society has done for about 55 years at this time of year. This would explain the complaint by another guest. Sorry about this but as you can see this is not a frequent occurrence and unlikely to start before 10.00. That said, the hotel has excellent sound proofing so they are barely audible in rooms not facing the church. If you want to sleep after 10.00 and don’t like bells, ask for a room not opposite the church or on one of the lower floors.

I'm not one to just dish out negative reviews. I'm actually very positive about places on the whole. But this hotel was a huge disappointment.

There were several issues we found which were just not up to the standard we d expect from what we paid

We had 1 towel between 2 of us

The 1 towel we did have had a brown stain on it, which we were told was something from when the towels were picked up by the cleaners.

There didn't seem to be any channels on the TV at all, after we clicked all the buttons on the side of the TV.

The TV remote didn't work.

We went down to politely ask about the TV remote, and the gentleman mentioned that someone would come up to our room to take a look. They never did.

Water was still in the kettle from the previous people in the room.

The view was of a building site, which is neither here nor there.

Whilst the shower was good, the bed was good and the decor of the room was nice, having only 1 dirty towel for 2 people isn't great.

As I was staying as part of a stag party (sorry everyone!) it was just a case of stumping up the cash but for what we paid the rooms were pretty small and cramped although otherwise clean. The location of the hotel is pretty good and there is some parking available just round the corner for a small additional cost. Maybe it was just the elevated cost for the weekend but normally when I stay over in Liverpool midweek; you can get rooms in better hotels for less.

Location can't really be better & many of the good size rooms have an angled view over the Mersey & The 3 Grace's. Very friendly staff keen to be back at work. I thought the covid security excellent. Good breakfast with lots of individually packaged items as a compromise; not quite back to the buffets of old

I experienced a couple of missed communications; 2 emails before arrival went unanswered asking about parking (given the interminable road works nearby I recommend driving to the hotel with its drop off zone to get guidance at reception including discounts), wasn't advised that daily room housekeeping was only by request etc but I put this down to the pressures of reopening & I imagine this will settle down soon enough.

I was a bit more unsure about how clean the hotel was; the vitals were all there; food hygiene looked fine, sinks & shower and beds & linen all excellent. I think the daily housekeeping is good & I imagine the team work hard & long to get things ready. But I did think that some aspects were grimey; air vents in the bathroom were absolutely filthy, curtains, chairs & walls just a bit grubby, fixtures in corridors dusty. I felt that my room needed a spring clean

Weekend rates are perhaps currently a bit pricey against the hotel standard but there are excellent mid week rates that would make this very good value & for these I think you would definitely forgive a dirty mark or 2

So we decided to book the Mercure through Booking.com as it was reasonably priced in line with the other hotels within Liverpool City Centre. We have stayed at the mercure before so it wasn't an issue to choose to stay again.

Firstly the room, comfy double room with a window view of the Mersey. En suite with a walk in shower which was in good reasonable working order and extremely clean with toiletries provided. The TV on the wall had free view and a good selection of channels. The WiFi within the hotel was free and good signal within the rooms.

Air conditioning unit on the walls, worked to a good standard and kept us warm when we were feeling cold after a wet and miserable day out... Close to Albert Dock and close to Liverpool One with just a 5 minute walk.

There was some noise from a neighbouring room who were blasting music but by the time that we returned the music had stopped. Downside is there is a church right outside the hotel which is fond of ringing its church bells so if you're a person who wants a sleep in, think again because 10am they began.

£86 for an overnight stay was a reasonable price considering most hotels were charging this for Valentines Day.

Overall it was a good stay. Couldn't really pick many faults other than a bit of door slamming and the church bells.

Staff were friendly and we were allowed to check in earlier than planned. Also allowed to leave luggage until we could go back for it later on.

Albert Dock was a short walk away along with the Mersey Ferry.
