Nestled in the heart of Liverpool, the Delta Hotels Liverpool City Centre garners praise for its prime location, close to local attractions and transport links. The hotel's cleanliness and recent modern updates contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, as does the exceptional service commended by numerous guests, though a few mention staffing could be improved. While some travelers find the room rates and parking to be of good value, others feel the costs are not reflective of the experience. Amenities such as a hearty breakfast and well-appointed rooms are popular, but issues with room temperature and noise have been noted.

Firstly Lewis on reception was an absolute pleasure to deal with, extremely polite and attentive throughout.

Good location within reasonable walking distance to shops ect...

Ubers into town were 5-10 pounds.

We booked a suite which overall was a good size but average condition, some of the fixtures for the curtains were coming out of the wall, furniture looked fairly worn and tired. Also the power points are poorly placed and there are limited 3 pin sockets in easy access near the bed.

Park on the Q Park which is attached and there is a reduced rate for guests of the hotel.

Covid-19- staff in full PPE, lots of SD markings and lots of sanitisers strategically placed

Final thoughts, decent but at £200 a night i would have expected higher quality.

Firstly the positives. The hotel is in a great central position, close to the train station, shopping and World Museum and only 15 mins walk from the Albert Dock. There is also a car park adjoined to the hotel where the hotel will authorise your parking ticket.

The reason for the 3 stars is the customer service was lacking in a lot of areas. I think probably due to COVID, there was a lack of staff meaning absolutely no information given on check in including times for breakfast and the fact they take an extra authorisation payment on your credit card of £50 per night, which will come off on check out, this should be explained as would have saved me a phone call a few days later and could be inconvenient if unexpected.

There was no service in the rooms. I requested additional toiletries but these were never delivered. The room was also boiling hot with a lack of air conditioning and had to rely on opening a window but even being on the 6th floor, you could still hear a lot of outside noise during the night.

The fitness centre and swimming pool was also closed. This was a surprise as other hotels in the area including others I have stayed at during the pandemic still had these facilities available.

There was also a lack of outside space, I feel the hotel could have benefitted from an outdoor lounge facility especially during the pandemic and during nice weather as more guests would have stayed for a drink. The hotel website advertised an outdoor space but this was closed during our stay. Also there is a balcony attached to the hotel and I feel the hotel is missing a trick by not utilising this space.

The location is the best bit about this hotel, however I probably wouldn’t stay again as had the feel of a hotel that was closing down and ‘forgotten about’.

Dear BristolFifi123, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel. We are very sorry to hear our hotel didn't quite meet your expectations. We have shared your feedback with our teams in an effort to improve the service we provide to our guests. These are unusual times, our hotel has just opened after being closed for a long time and we are constantly reviewing and improving some areas, therefore thank you for your feedback - this is very helpful. Our swimming pool together with our Leisure Center has been shut down long before COVID, therefore the reason why it is still closed is unrelated to any restrictions. We do hope our gym will be open towards end of June. Once again, thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon. Best Wishes,

We stayed here two nights in order to visit a LFC match at Anfield and were very happy with our choice. The property is conveniently located to the city center, about a 3 minute walk from Liverpool Lime street station, and within easy walking distance to the shops, pubs, and the cathedral (a must visit!) If going to a match, it's about a 15 minute Uber/taxi ride and a 45 minute walk from Anfield.

I can't say enough about the staff here. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, especially given all of our needy American requests ha-ha. Rachel was especially a standout at the front desk, helping to organize taxis, suggesting things to see and do, and being as friendly as could be. She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. There was always water available in the lobby and the gym, as well as coffee available during breakfast (even if you weren't eating at the restaurant.) The gym itself was very well appointed for a city center Marriott, with tons of machines and a good area for weights and free space for stretching etc.

The rooms themselves were standard Marriott rooms, clean with comfy beds, and quiet. Rooms had good views regardless of which side of the building you were on, and also had ample work areas. The only drawbacks were the lack of fridges and also a complete lack of plugs anywhere but by the desk.

We stayed here 1 night (thankfully) and regretted it. The Marriott site says this hotel has accessible rooms. It does NOT have any accessible rooms. They have a grab bar on the bath wall and an inbuilt shower head. Avoid this hotel if you have limited ability to get into a bath or control a terrible shower that requires you to turn a ball.

Also I should have read all the negative reviews about the air conditioning. The rooms are really hot. We were sweating at night. It would be nice to open the window to get some cool breeze but they are bolted shut.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in for a while. Not sure how they can be a Marriott hotel as the quality of the room is really poor

Stopped at the Liverpool Marriott for a couple of nights on the way home from a trip to Edinburgh and Alston. Fantastic location right in the middle of the city centre only minutes walk from the Royal Albert dock.

Had a bit of a nightmare trying to locate the entrance on my sat nav at first due to roadworks sending me away from where I wanted to go. I pulled over and called the hotel and spoke with an amazing member of staff named Andreea who very professionally guided me to the hotel. Andreea was very helpful and took care of our needs with booking in and explaining the concessionary car park details.

The hotel was very clean and had everything you required to say safe whilst there, plenty of hand sanitisers and notices about social distancing etc. The room was very nice, quiet and looked out towards the Liver Building in the distance and right next to the Radio City tower.

Just outside the hotel was a fair number of restaurants and bars and 5 minutes away you were right in the middle of the shopping centre. Royal Albert Dock was only 15 minutes walk away with numerous things to see and do, especially the Beatles City Tour with the amazing singing tour guide Damian, well worth a trip.

Breakfast was in the hotels restaurant "Olivers" the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was full English or Continental, both were very nice.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are just having a quick stop over, business trip or family treat.

Well done all! Hope to get back again one day :)

Richie.

The hotel benefits from extremely friendly and helpful staff in all areas, especially front desk and bar / restaurant - always willing to help and give advice on what to do in the local area. Best hotel for central location and closeness to railway station. Good parking available at both Queens Street and St John's. Rooms always well cleaned with comfortable beds and generally quiet with limited external noise - rooms facing towards Queen street square are especially quiet. Have been using this hotel for the last 10 years and will continue to do so, mainly due to the consistently high level of customer support from all staff members.

Contemplating whether to drive or not to our recent trip to Liverpool we stumbled up this hotel, and I'm glad we did. Given its literally opposite Lime Street Station, our decision was made and trains booked.

From the get go, we knew the decision made was the right one. A nice clean City Centre hotel with friendly staff to check us in. Upon doing so we were advised being Elite members our breakfast and parking was complimentary, with the latter otherwise costing an additional £16 per night. Needless to say this was not an issue, as we didn't drive but for those who would the carpark is literally next door.

Both our rooms were clean and spacious superior rooms overlooking the square and the fourth floor. Complimentary coffee/tea and water was provided in the rooms, despite which the water was not replenished every day like the others.........small thing thing though.

Breakfast on the first floor was plentiful, providing ample choices of continental and cooked........thanks to the chef (sorry forgot to ask his name) for the delicious hot omelettes and boiled egg. For those vegans, there is an option as my wife asked and the kitchen kindly cooked some vegan sauces for her.

Whilst the above all was fantastic the best thing is the location of this hotel, literally walking distance where one would want to go to other then Anfield Stadium which was a 10-15 mins Uber ride. Other then that, walking through the town centre towards the Albert Docks took us no more than 15 mins with ample signs but you CAN'T get lost.

Being in the town centre you're really spoilt for choice in terms of dining, with the usual named place but a lot of independents. We chose the later and ate at Akasya (Turkish) and Rudy's Albert Dock (Italian), you won't be disappointed.

Needless to say, when visiting Liverpool again this will certainly be our go to hotel

Stopped over night here with my wife from Tuesday 7th March to Wednesday 8th March, parking in car park ( multistorey ) right next to the hotel, this is a very tight hotel to drive into with sensors in car buzzing all the way up but nice size parkling places. reception staff very helpful and pleasant book in nice and easy. two lifts up to rooms, we were on fourth floor room 413 (key card) use key card to open door to reception at night. Room we had a kingsize bed and it was a good size room trouser press by door as you come in, bathroom clean and good lighting, toiletries supplied including mouthwash, free digital safe in wardrobe, hair dryer, ironing board and iron in there also, dressing gowns and slippers x2 supplied, coat hangers supplied 6 in our wardrobe, big tv with great choice of channels, brew station and fridge, usb sockets with plug sockets and also a set of four usb points in bedside table. breakfast is self servive but offers a good choice and in a nice setting on the first floor.
