First impressions of this hotel were excellent, lovely old building in the stunning setting of Sefton park. The welcome was warm and the receptionist was pleasant, polite and offered tips on sight seeing and restaurants. Our rate included welcome drink, which wasn't mentioned but we had a nice drink in the bar overlooking the park while we waited for our... More

Don't expect this to be a 4 star hotel. In life you get what you pay for and no more. My room was clean, above the bar, and was ok after 1130 pm. When I see that the last but one comment said Brilliant you must ask your self who made that report. This hotel is ok for one night.... More

Visited this hotel at the start of this year, cannot complain. It was a last minute idea, no booking, just walked in, staff were friendly. Had never been to liverpool before, they were good enough in telling me good nightclubs to go to etc. Complained about the noise of the party in the next room. Staff took that seriously and... More

Hi Christine, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that your stay was less than satisfactory. I am however struggling to find any e-mails from yourself on our server. I have also spoken to our Front of House Team and they don't have any recollection of your complaint either. We would like to resolve this matter and to... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of character in the hotel. Lovely food. Room warm and clean and serviced every day. Good value for money and we will book the hotel again in the future. Hotel adjacent to Sefton Park and close to Lark Lane with lovely restaurants and shops.

Booked a double room with ensuite for two of us, upon arrival we were told there had been a mix up with our room and we ended up with, what they claim was, a twin room with an outside bathroom. The room was like a shoe box and hotter than the sun. Being pregnant, I can't even begin to describe... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sefton Park Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian Villa overlooking the Boating Lake in Sefton Park, the largest park in Liverpool. It is one of the original detached houses on the perimeter of the park where rich merchants and shipping magnates once lived in style. Today it offers a warm friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation and quality food and drink which is served in Astrid's Bar and Michelngelo's Italian Restaurant. More modern history confirms that 'The Blenheim' was, infact, the family home of the fifth Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1960s. Stuart's family continued to live here until 1970. ... more   less

“The family room didn't look like it did on the photos. The light in the bathroom didn't work and the headboards are not attached to the beds. The room door would open with the key and the door wouldn't close properly.”
