Great for walkers

I had never stayed in yha before so at £29 a night for a room i thought why not. The room was very clean the toilet and shower was very clean it was down the hall but what do you expect for £29 the room sleeps three people. The location is excellent for exploring liverpool and free parking. Yes i would stay agin.

This is my second stay at the hostel with the family . Great base to explore Liverpool. Close to the main attractions, shops and restaurants. Very lovely and helpful staff during our visit. Overall, good value for money .
Some of the shower facilities will require attention and updating. Even so hope to return soon.!

I'm rating the hostel not my experience. The hostel was clean, friendly staff and good facilities. In fact a lot of the furniture looked new. The bunks were sturdy, mattresses not uncomfortable and bedding was clean and fluffy. Hostel accommodation isn't for me personally, sharing a room with snoring strangers, left me sleepless and I checked out after 1 night and found alternative, private room. However as I said, judging the hostel, it was nice.

Booked a private room for 5 of us in the family. Parking is great and off the street. Location is great with it being so close to the Albert Dock and about a 10 min walk to the main city centre. Our room had 3 sets of bunk beds and a toilet and separate shower. The room and bathroom were basic but very clean! There are wall plugs and night lights next to every bed. The corridors and social areas are well decorated with local famous pictures etc. We didnt use the kitchen or any of the social areas so cant rate them. we found it to be fantastic value for money. Overall 10/10 from us.

One of my favourite Youth Hostels. So many good things to say about it. Firstly it’s literally a stones throw from Albert Dock, so very handy for the Beetles experience, open top bus tours, food, bars etc. etc.
The hostel itself - large dinning room area, good lounge areas with a huge Beetles wall art. Rooms of a good size, ours was for four - had a double bed, two bunk beds a sofa and the shower and toilet were spotless. Bar and shop open all the time. Outside area with picnic benches and a car park. The hostel is fenced all round and at night there is a security gate so if you don’t have a pass you cannot get in. This also applies to the members kitchen, doors to corridors, rooms etc. It’s safe.
Staff are always friendly and happy to help in any way.
This was my second visit and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Just a brilliant place to stay, will be back.

A great hostel in a very convenient location near the Albert Dock. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The shower was hot but had very low water pressure. We made use of the self catering kitchen too. The lounge area was a little small and was very near the reception desk and entrance door but the sofas were comfortable.

We stayed for one night between Christmas and new year in a 4 bed ensuite room. The facilities were very clean and of a good standard - the beds were really hard but that's personal a preference thing. The staff were very welcoming and were able to give us lots of tips on things to do and places to eat - The Big Bowl restaurant was a real hit. We had breakfast in the morning which was brilliant. It's a great location - right near the Albert Docks and walking distance of all city centre attractions so we didn't have to use the car once we were there and would be perfect if travelling by public transport. Would highly recommend and would certainly go back.

This is a really superb hostel.. our room was huge. with en-suite toilet and shower, double bed, separate bunk bed, wardrobe, large cabinets, effective heating and lots of space. Food was great, seems catering kitchen is spacious, well stocked and great to use.. dining, lounge facilities are comfortable, clean and aesthetic. The team are fantastic, always welcoming, willing to help however they can, and working hard to make everything so nice during the stay. Parking was available and free. The location is great; I’d much rather be there by Albert Dock than up in the city centre, yet the centre is still only a 5-10 minute wander. We could easily reach Liverpool ACC conference centre on foot in 5-10 minutes (attending an event there). Thanks so much for a great stay

I took a school group of 32 year 5&6 children to this Youth Hostel and what a fantastic time we all had. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing with plenty of it and the rooms and communal areas were exceptionally clean. I felt the children were safe in their rooms and with the majority being en-suite, had no concerns about the children during the night. The hostel was quiet despite other large groups being there. It was a fabulous base for exploring the city. Will definitely recommend.

While the location of this hostel is great for attractions at Albert dock the hostel manager themselves are not as desired. Booked a private room paying extra for the privacies to have a manager walk into the room no knocking. . No communication nothing. When questioned later about what happened and why manager stated he didn’t see a point on knocking on the door and he did no harm it was a few seconds. Lots of harm could have been done and made me very uncomfortable. When I tried to address situation with head office they tell me not an issue and give me an email address that doesn’t work so they can avoid the complaint

Hi Katie,
Each room have lockable cupboards which you will need to bring a padlock or they can be purchased at the Hostel Reception.
If you need to store luggage before check in or after check out we do have a secure luggage store.

Our dorm rooms are en-suite // We have 24 hour access with reception staff here 24 hours to "buzz" you in via the gate after 11pm. // Check in is from 2pm each day, if you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave you bags in our luggage room for free, go off and explore the city and then return at your leisure to go to your room.
