62 Castle Street Hotel garners appreciation for its friendly service and spacious, stylish rooms, though guests have called out occasional lapses in soundproofing and maintenance. The central location is a hit among travelers, offering easy access to city attractions, yet some find the lively street noise to be a drawback.
While the atmosphere and amenities typically receive positive remarks, opinions on value and cleanliness vary, with mentions of both immaculate conditions and minor oversights. Despite this, the attentive staff and prime positioning often contribute to a positive guest experience.

Detailed Reviews
We booked this hotel as a night away to celebrate our recent wedding and my 40th birthday. We arrived at the hotel & the receptionist was very helpful, stored our bags for us until checkin time, she also arranged a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for us. This was a kind gesture and much appreciated.
We returned to the hotel at check-in time and were shown to our room. The room had good facilities and the little complimentary gifts of chocolates and toiletries were welcomed and a nice touch.
We found that the bath was very flimsy in our room and we were concerned that it may break. This may have been a minor issue just in our room.
Our room had a well stocked mini bar with treats and drinks. We didn’t have anything as the drinks were expensive. Again this is personal choice and not a complaint about the hotel.
The bed was large and spacious, lots of lovely cushions and spotlessly clean bedding. The mattress was rock hard-this again was not our personal choice and I’m sure some people would be more then happy with it.
We left the hotel and went out for the evening. We returned at 11.30pm and went up to our room to enjoy the facilities and relax. We walked into our room and was immediately hit with a huge sense of disappointment. There is a bar next door to the hotel and despite our room being to the rear of the hotel and the opposite side to the bar, we could hear VERY loud music in our room, glass bottle bins being emptied constantly and partygoers shouting and being very noisy. We were kept awake by this noise until we’ll past 2am! We were so disappointed that our chance to have a much needed relaxing night was ruined and had cost us £180 to get very little sleep.
We told the hotel staff upon checking out about our experience. She told us that it mentions on the website thet the hotel is on a busy, lively street. It does not say this and advertises family rooms. This round lead you to believe that the rooms are suitable for a family to stay in. Our experience showed that it would be very hard to get any sleep due to the noise levels around the building.
We returned home today, more tired then when we left and £180 worse off.
On the whole the hotel was nice and had some good facilities. This hotel is not ideal if you are looking for a relaxing break. It is perfect for a liveky weekend away where you are planning to party!

Wow what a beautiful hotel room! So first off we have stayed at all of the castle street collection apartments round Liverpool in the past, apartments always great but sometimes noise volume from other surrounding venues were a problem.Anyway on seeing a hotel open in the great area of castle street we had to give it a go!
Arrived on Saturday 30th dec the receptionist was lovely and very helpful. We we’re given room 304 and it was gorgeous we were very happy. The hotel is above neighbourhood which is a very lively upmarket restaurant/ nightclub so I can imagine so nights it can get very loud there but we were out until late ourselves and didn’t notice any noise coming home. Early mornings always bother me with noise from the street cleaners and people in the hotel but we heard nothing again great very happy! Check out was as easy as check in.
Pro’s ~massive king size bed, reasonably priced mini fridge, free water, massive clean room, location
Con’s~ £100 holding deposit does take a while to go back into bank, no breakfast available
Will 100% be recommending and returning

This hotel brands itself as a "luxury" hotel in the heart of Liverpool. Here is a defintion of "luxury" - a state of great comfort or elegance. We have stayed in luxury hotels all over the world but were very disappointed when we arrived at this particular hotel. The first ting we noticed in the room was that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed before we arrived. We were also misssing the complimentary bathrobes included with the room and the TV connection was very poor, even though the hotel boasts 1 Gb Internet in all rooms, with individual servers and routers. One of the studs had come off on the arm of the couch leaving a sharp piece of metal sticking up. In our opinion, these are small details that should have been checked before new guests arrive.
The location is good providing you don't mind hearing loud, banging music until the small hours from the bar next door.
We did spot an A/C unit on the wall but there were no controls to operate it and, as the windows cannot be opened very far, the rooms are very stuffy and warm.
On a positive note, breakfast was very nice and they delivered it to our room both mornings.
In summary, I would not stay here again as it feels the owners are not concermed about the whole "guest" experience and this was evident from this weekend.

The hotel has no amenities, room only. The room is large but the quality of the finish inside is poor. The shower unit was broken and had been fixed by inserting a washing machine valve over the shower head and placing a large sign on the wall: turn on shower with valve above shower head. The fridge was 3 ft away from my bed and had a noisy motor. I had to switch it off. There was pounding music from the venue next door until late, which kept me awake. After the first night I put the sign on the door asking them to make up my room. They didn’t. In fairness, when I complained they offered me 20% off my stay. They still didn’t make up my room. I won’t stay here again.

Fabulous location, you can’t get more central for being near everything in the city centre! It’s also a key code to get In which makes it feel secure. There is no parking onsite but I used Qpark on Vernon street which was a covered car park very close by (prebook if you can as cheaper). The hotel itself is on an extremely busy street, next to a bar and outdoor bar seating throughout the street which I was advised of by the staff when I booked as I am a particularly light sleeper. But they gave me a room on the top floor and I went prepared with ear plugs and it was absolutely fine. Slept well and the bed was very comfortable. The room itself was beautiful, tastefully decorated and had a sofa and separate dining area. The TV came with Netflix and it had probably the nicest hotel dressing table I’ve ever used too which (for once!) was designed with women in mind with good lighting for doing your make up! The staff were very friendly and dealt with all our requests promptly. The only issue we had was the rainfall shower was very low, I’m 5ft 4 and it was a couple of inches off the top of my head so my boyfriend could not get under it at all. But apart from this minor issue we had a great stay and would definitely go back. Throughly recommend!

Sadly we only came to this stunner of a hotel after being badly let down by another, but we certainly know which one we would re-book!
The manager here was truly outstanding - we called her in desperation needing to transfer properties on a busy Easter weekend. Having been stung by our previous experience, we cheekily asked to see the rooms she had available. She welcomed us in and took us around every available room as she understood how we had been let down.
She booked us in swiftly and made sure we could access the room immediately so that we could have a hot shower and settle in. The rooms are well proportioned and beautifully decorated and maintained. The location is brilliant, as you are just a street away from the city centre and the Cavern Quarter. She did warn us that the central location meant that noise travelled from the street below, but we did not anticipate anything else bearing in mind the location at the heart of the city centre and it was not a problem as we were out until fairly late taking in the night life anyway!
The hotel is lovely, but on this occasion this amazing staff member made it a place to remember and literally saved our much needed and longed for break!

What an amazing place to stay. In the centre of Liverpool city centre close to shops restaurants and Mathew street. Door entry is by key code only which ensures safety. Check in was quick and efficient. Lift and stairs available to reach all floors. Rooms are exquisite beautifully furnished with a large plush comfortable bed and all expected room amenities including complimentary water and chocolates on arrival. Breakfast is not available however being in the centre of the city there are plenty of restaurants and cafes serving a variety of food all day.

We stayed mid week and loved the decor, the location is great but we were slightly concerned we wouldn’t have the best night sleep as it is right next to a busy bar/ club. We actually weren’t disturbed at all by any nightlife but not sure this would be the case on a Friday or Saturday night. The rooms aren’t particularly soundproof, we could hear the shower being run in the room next to us and people walking and talking in the corridors.
We had bathrobes in the bathroom which were a really nice touch, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
My partner who paid the deposit was charged for eating a bag of chocolates from the mini bar which we didn’t eat…. A phone call assured us it would be looked into. Happy to say it was resolved shortly afterwards and a refund issued.
Initial deposit refunded within 5 days however this does feel like a long time to wait for a large sum of money to be returned

The room itself was lovely and the staff were friendly. There was a mini bar in the room that was reasonably priced although the fridge was noisy. It was really hard to sleep as the room was hot and outside was really noisy due to its busy location.

I’d thoroughly read the reviews before I booked a stay here and gave it the benefit of the doubt in terms of the noise from the club below. What I’ll say is that if you’re a particularly light sleeper or can’t sleep with any noise going on whatsoever, you might want to swerve this one.
The reviews were mixed - some complaining about the noise and some not mentioning it, so I didn’t think it would be all that bad. But we were staying on the second floor and the music was as clear as day (I think this is an old building with single glazing, so the noise was coming through the floor and windows) and really bassy. That being said though, we managed to drop off to sleep fine and found the bed extremely comfortable. I struggled to get out in the morning!
Noise of some kind is to be expected given this hotel is right in the centre and the street gets VERY busy on a weekend night, so if that’s something you’d struggle with, maybe look elsewhere.
The only time we were really affected by noise was by our neighbours coming back at 3:45am. They were opening and closing doors, shouting in the corridors, and playing loud music next door, so for us, they were more of a problem than the night club.
I booked a deluxe double room and we ended up in one that is used for the promo pictures with the stairs and sofa in the room. It was so spacious and comfy. I also loved the mirror with the Hollywood lights and the bathroom was a great size. The cleaning could have been a bit more thorough as we found some rose petals on the floor near the mini bar and there were some little scrappy bits of material on the floor, but we weren’t upset by it.
The stay was ok overall, but could’ve been better if it wasn’t for the neighbours keeping us up until about 5am. The lady in the desk was really lovely and friendly, our room was good, and the hotel was easy to get to from where we parked at Liverpool ONE.
