Radisson RED Liverpool garners praise for its prime location near Lime Street Station, favored by guests for its convenience to transportation and the city. The hotel's modern amenities and stylish, artsy atmosphere receive commendations, as does the overall cleanliness, with spotless rooms often highlighted.
Despite some concerns over room size and occasional service inconsistencies, many find the accommodations comfortable and the staff amiable. However, opinions on value and noise levels vary, with some reviewers noting exceptional quietness and others questioning the cost-benefit ratio.

Detailed Reviews
Three night stay in Liverpool at the Radisson Red, the hotel is perfectly located for exploring all that this wonderful city has to offer.
The high’s definitely has to be the people, such a lovely, friendly and helpful team, not one bad experience during our stay. The breakfast was also very good, best eggs Benedict cooked perfectly. The décor is interesting and the hotel is well presented throughput.
Only minor negatives to prepare visitors has to be the room sizes, which are small, the shower in our room wasn’t great either. Being right beside the train station meant we experienced rumbling from the trains, nothing offensive but noted, and also the deliveries tend to be early in the morning and if you have a back room this is noisy.
Most importantly we would chose to stay at the Radisson Red again if we returned to Liverpool.
One last tip, there is not any parking at the hotel, the St John’s centre is a short walk away, offers clean, bright and secure parking, head to their website and sign up for £5 per 24 hour’s parking, incredibly value for money slap bang in the middle of the city.

Great hotel but a little bit of a walk into town. Best points include the breakfast. One of the best full English I have had in hotel lately (and I stay in a lot) they even specifically made me some fried eggs and brought them to the table. The rooms are a good size and brilliantly decorated, you can cast to the TV and the shower is very large. You can’t hear any noise from the station despite close proximity and they have no parking but there are two very close car parks with reasonable over night rates. As mentioned it’s a little further out to places like Liverpool one or the docks but still a comfortable walk and not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend especially if travelling by train.

So booked a night as had a hospital appointment at the Royal so just needed somewhere close by, but we were very pleasantly surprised!
The rooms are SO soundproofed it’s lovely for sleeping, very clean, warm, everything in the room you could need and lovely soft bedding and quality pillows.
The staff and breakfast were excellent. Right nextdoor to Lime Station as well. I will use this hotel again for when I have an early train to catch in future!

The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel feels very new and all the fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition. The rooms were also very quiet despite the location immediately adjacent to the station. The rooms are very new and have a strong design theme but lack a little practicality such as hooks to hang things on and shelving or drawers to allow cases to be unpacked. The location is handy for the station obviously but only a five minute walk from the main eating area, ten minutes from the main shopping area and 15 mins from the waterfront. We paid just less than £100 per night for the room and felt that was good value for money.

Stayed as a couple for one night. Booked standard room. Gave advance notice it was our anniversary and asked if there was anything special could be done to mark the occasion. I had a reply to say that a note had been made of this to our booking.
Check in was via screen with some interaction from staff. Given room straight away even though we were early at 14:30. Reception staff were pleasant.
Standard room on 1st floor had no view as window was frosted due to looking into lime street station platform. Noise from trains could be heard up until midnight and started again around 6am. Nothing special added to room to mark anniversary which was a disappointment. Coffee maker only had 3 pods of coffee and didn’t work. No tea bags. Had to ask at reception for tea bags and toilet roll. Explained coffee maker not working and was told could not have a coffee maker from another room as the hotel was fully booked but could ask for coffee in main bar- rooms were actually still available to book for that night on booking.com so I feel the coffee maker could have been swapped. The bed was large and was clean and comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was clean although the toilet is very noisy when flushing especially if someone else is sleeping.
Breakfast was good with lots of choice although the background music was loud so difficult to chat whilst there. Check out was 12 which was good to have a later check out.

I will start with the positives. The bed was really comfortable although it was 2 mattresses put together. It's brand new so the decor looked great. The public areas of this hotel are lovely and the old building makes it quite special. The artwork in the stair case is a real nod to Liverpool and i really liked that. Our first room wasn't good at all. The helpful staff did change rooms for us to a much nicer room. However they are small rooms and the open storage is OK for 1 or 2 nights but not more as there is very limited space. The large shower leaked everywhere all over the small bathroom including the bathroom door. I have short showers and it soaked the whole room. The toilet paper is the cheapest I have ever had in a hotel this is a small niggle but a complete false economy and it gives an impression of penny pinching that is expected in a 2 star hotel. We were on the 5th floor and you could hear the trains and although it didn't bother me it woke us up quite early I think it's only fair to mention this as many people will be quite shocked how loud it is. We went to the bar for a drink and I stood there and then carried my own drinks to the table, fair enough but what I had an issue with is I got slapped with 15% service charge which I wasn't happy about. I paid a £1.80 tip on 2 drinks which is bad form especially as I stood in an empty bar ordering and then carried it myself a tip like that should be for table service. Finally you use a screen to check in and check out. Is it modern? yes but does is scream self serve supermarket checkout? yes. Nice hotel but I have stayed in cheaper and better in Liverpool. I want this hotel to do well but it needs a few things changing. I don't want to use a screen to check in I think it's great to have as an option it shouldn't be an expectation. Sort the shower screens so they actually keep water in the showers and decide what your hotel wants to be because right now its 3*

We stayed at the hotel on a Friday night and chose it mainly for its fantastic location!
Although the hotel is almost adjoined to Lime Street station, aside from low rumbles from time to time there really is no impact from the passing trains and commuters.
We stayed in room 521 on the fifth floor which had a fantastic view of St George’s Hall and the Christmas markets.
The room was spotless and very well decorated, the bathroom was a great size and the water pressure was great in the shower. The actual room itself did feel a little cramped where the bed is, like other reviews, we did find it a little bit of a squeeze to get ready but for only one night, it didn’t negatively impact our stay.
We did struggle with the blind in the bedroom, it would not move up or down but we didn’t discover this until very late in the evening when we go back into the room so we didn’t speak to reception about this due to the time and us tired enough.
We had a drink in the bar which had a really great atmosphere and a great drinks selection. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and welcoming.
We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here to celebrate a special Anniversary. We had previously been at uni in Liverpool so we were keen to revisit old haunts and new attractions. The location of the hotel was perfect being right next to Lime Street station and the Liverpool Empire and with a breathtaking view of magnificent St George’s Hall. So easy to walk to all the city’s main attractions like Liverpool One and the galleries/museums. The interior of the hotel is an impressive combination of original Victorian splendour and contemporary styling. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome. Great locally themed cocktails served in the bar. Our room was stylish with everything we needed including a large, really comfortable bed and a great shower room.

Has all the bones of well designed, fashionable and perfectly located hotel.
Very clean and new. Beautiful historical building with fantastic views of St George’s Hall. However it feels like it needs more of a human touch. I stayed with a friend for a Friday evening in Liverpool. Check in was self service, we were introduced to a computer to input our details and then the female member of staff disappeared off. We navigated the system and found the lifts, it would have been nice to have things explained to us (where to go, what time was breakfast etc etc). The lift took us to our floor and our room. The room had a double bed and my friend was positive she requested twins. We headed back to reception and the female member of staff was back at the computers. We told her we he had requested a twin beds; she very quickly said ‘we don’t guarantee a twin, but I will see what we have’. She then went out of her way to show my friend she didn’t in fact request a twin and how it was our mistake and not theirs. Once she had proven it was our fault she said she would do her best for us. It all felt a touch passive aggressive.
Once in the room and settled, we had no tea bags so I rang down, the phone rang and rang, no one answered. I waited ten minutes and rang again, sadly no one answered again. We couldn’t get the information on the hotel working on the TV either. Up until this point we felt like a burden on the staff so we headed out. After we returned from watching a band at 12.10am I wanted a nightcap. I entered the bar and asked, a male staff member barked back at me ‘it’s bottles only’, so I asked for a bottle of beer. His reaction wasn’t helpful, more a case of me putting him out and he was doing me a massive favour.
Breakfast the following day was lovely and so were the staff. Very helpful and great choice, fried eggs are available too on request. The breakfast service felt like we were in a different hotel.
I like a hotel where you are made to feel at home, the staff are kind and welcoming. Most of the staff we interacted with didn’t give us this feeling. Perhaps Radisson Red doesn’t want to have this type of personality because it’s too cool and good old kindness isn’t something they value.
My mains points: answer the room phone, put tea bags in the rooms, be more welcoming on reception, give guests a quick rundown on where the lifts are, breakfast timings, bar opening times etc and don’t go out of your way to make customers feel stupid.

Hi LiverpoolKandM, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review from your recent stay with us. We're sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations during your visit, especially in regards to our service - as this is something we pride ourselves on. I hope you can appreciate that you checked in during one of our busiest periods, so rather than keeping our guests' waiting, we encourage everyone to use our check-in kiosks so you can get settled in your room. We do have limited availability for twins, especially on the weekends but we try to accommodate all requests for bed preferences. We're glad to hear that we were able to accommodate your request and provide you with a twin. However, we're disappointed to hear you found our team to be unfriendly. We will be sharing your review across our team to ensure your experience is not a repeated one, we do apologise for this. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed our hotel in general and we hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to provide you with a more memorable stay! Kind Regards, Shannon Radisson RED Liverpool

An interesting hotel - the room was very dusty and it was clear no one had been there in a while. The coffee machine in the room had dirty water in the reservoir and house keeping don’t clean mugs or re stock the coffee supplies regardless of how many days you are there. No shower gel but there was shampoo and conditioner. The rooms were fairly small but staff were friendly and check in and out was straightforward. They offer a luggage storage service. It’s close to the train station (literally the building next door to Liverpool like street) but the quality of stay is sub par to what they charge. Overall, a lot of money for the Raddison brand without delivering on the quality, wouldn’t return but the location is very convenient

I am afraid I am unsure of the answer to that. We came by train as it is next to Lime Street station. I would enquire with the hotel and they would be able to advise you.
You can park in the St John’s shopping centre, about 5 minutes walk across from the hotel. If you sign up with the website (St Johns shopping centre) you should be able to park for £5 for 24 hrs, apparently you scan the QR code as you enter the car park, but the instructions are not very clear, found that out after when I go home
The rooms were really quiet. We had one of the bay window rooms on the right hand end. it was cold so I never tried to open the window. Sorry
Yes, it’s by Lime street station in the middle of the city centre
Yes, the breakfast was really good.
