I booked this hotel on booking.com and paid £57 for a double room with breakfast, which was incredible value. Ok the decor is a little tired but for the price we paid we were very happy. There was plenty of plug sockets and a massive mirror near a plug socket which as we ladies know it is a must. Flat...

Lovely building, great room on 3rd floor, guess lower floors maybe noisy. Staff great especially Billy Parr, what a nice man he is. Breakfast poor. Menu looked good but did not deliver. Pastries not fresh, they were the long life type. I ordered eggs Benedict, they were inedible. Hard poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, consistency of thick very cold catering mayonnaise...

Stayed 1 night as part of our anniversary weekend. Very good location and staff very friendly and helpful. However...the hotel is dated and shabby looking. Really in need of a an overhaul. Room 109 was a good size and bed comfortable but pillows flat as pancakes ! No plug sockets near to the bed, no iron, no curtains, just 'office'...

Well ROOM 103. After the initial disappointment with this room and conversing with Vincent and Jade we were moved to room 304. So much better. A large room with wet room bathroom. The furniture is tired though and the owner could do with spending some money to upgrade what could be an amazing hotel. It is the old Liverpool bank...

The floor to ceiling mirrors are stunning, the huge wall murals and the chesterfield furniture are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and helpful, but alas the room was a disappointment. There are no toiletries supplied other than a soap bottle in the shower - beware the shower is small. The windows had so much condensation on them it was freezing...
