Detailed Reviews
Went to Cabbage today (21/08/20) and I have to say I was very impressed with all the covid safety requirements in place. From using track and trace, socially distanced tables, all team members wearing face masks or visors and plenty of hand sanitizer. I also have to say how friendly all your team are. Service was fast and food was hot. Plates and cups cleared away quickly and a team member santizing the tables and chairs as soon as customers left. Please pass on my thanks to your team as I know how hard they are working during EOTHO.

I ate here with my family (2 adults, 2 children) not once but twice during an overnight stay in Liverpool - that's how much we enjoyed it. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. Portions are generous, full of flavour, and freshly prepared. My fussy eaters cleared their plates and devoured their Desserts. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. Just a few minutes walk from Anfield, I'd certainly recommend this restaurant to visitors.

We held my Father's wake here . From the start Bev was so helpful. Talked me through the buffet options etc. The room is very spacious and has its own bar and clean toilets. The food was excellent. Everyone commented how nice it was. We had over catered so takeaway cartons were provided for people to take some home. The 2 bar staff worked really hard. When not serving were constantly clearing tables etc. I would highly recommend the place, they were lovely . Thank you! A Davies

I have eaten here the other week and the Steak & Ale Pie was great. Went back for a Burger yesterday and wish I hadn’t.
The burger was vile, tasted cheap, bacon very fatty and the cheese was a cheap cheese slice thrown on the top not melted. Worst £10 I’ve spent so far this year!
Need to up your burger game here people!

Had a lovely roast dinner here today. Staff at the carvery are great very friendly. The manager Bev spoke to us on arrival very nice lady.
We had a few drinks afterwards and noticed we were charged different prices each time. I went to the bar and one girl was arguing with someone at the restaurant side. Her swearing and shouting was awful. I was served by another girl. When my sister went to be served she was overcharged by Sammy and refused to pay. She was the same girl who had been shouting and swearing. Spoilt our day.
We have been coming here for a long time and always enjoyed it before.

I'm a carer & went here with a person in a wheel chair. Bev the manager couldn't do enough for us. From opening the back doors so we could get in to taking us a different way into the toilets as the wheel chair was too wide for the door way. What a kind & lovely lady.Even tho she was rushed off her feet. Food was lovely as a bonus

Went here with friends and their kids for a dinner after a visit to Anfield. Place is big and has TV screens which show sports. Imagine that this place is getting very busy on a game day. Food was ok but average. As we were placed close to the kitchen we had a view inside it but actually regretted it later. The chef inside was constantly wiping his nose and then touching the food afterwards which was a bit disturbing. Quality wasn't good enough to convince me to go back.

Great local host - Bev

Old place (well maintained)
Not your typical international chain hotel standard but has local charm

Water pressure and temperature control was iffy. Hotel responded to our queries but we only stayed for 2 days and had left by then.

Been here loads of times.
Service is exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful.
Visited yesterday
The Manager pulled out all the stops to accommodate my seating wishes, thank you.
The food is exceptional, not only in taste and content, but pricing
At the top of my places to visit.
Such a shame business will be affected due to the next lockdown. We will be back to support you, when it ends

I am currently laying in bed trying to fall asleep, while the 70s and 80s pop from the bar downstairs blasts. Very weird place.
The food was subpar. The whole place fees very worn down. Maybe it’s a favorite of locals, but I did not enjoy my time at all.
