Where to start! Fairly modern hotel conversion.. The room was cold due to the single air-con unit in the room apparently unable to dispense warm/hot air. Reception offered me a electric fire! Hotel surrounded by railway lines on all sides so noisy! Woken at 1am in the morning by another guest entering my room with a keycard having also been...

Staff friendly, good location, room stinks, no possibility to open the window, so carpet is awful, needs to be changed or cleaned, not really comfortable when you stay 5 nights they need to improve this point

Waited a while as there was nobody on reception. Room was cold and as usual there is no plug socket next to the bed. On the plus side it is convenient for office, ok value & rooms aren't bad. Also there's a decent bar & restaurant area.

I stayed here for one night and it was as expected. Close to everything reasonable rate and a nice room with everything you would expect from a Travelodge. I have booked colleagues into this hotel, including my CFO, and have never had any complaints.

Friday however I was due to arrive in the early hours of Saturday morning (1 - 2am), I had informed the hotel of this on the Thursday and was told that this wasn't an issue and that they...

Cold rooms & the heater was really loud to keep on overnight. The mattresses were uncomfortable. Terrible condensation on windows left a puddle on the carpet which result in sodden jeans!! The breakfast was ok, price ok given the kids ate free.

Myself and hubby arrived to the "hotel" !!! very early on Saturday morning , we were well aware that check in wasn't till 3pm , which we told the man on arrival . His name was Marco , I noticed from his name badge that he was assistant manager , his attitude to me was rude and extremely arrogant ....

Service was excellent. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Location was good very close to subway or car park. The price could have been better but then it always can be.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
