Detailed Reviews
We booked here because we was supposed to be going to Winter Wonderland and the location seemed perfect for it but like all things in 2020 that got cancelled but I would still say the location was good for a weekend in London. Area seemed safe and tube & train stations were within 5 min walking distance as well as the park which was lovely to walk through on a morning. Oxford Street was within 30 min walk and straight forward enough to get too.
I think we got one of the smallest rooms which was okay as there was only 2 of us for a 3 night stay, the kitchen is perfect and was a key factor to why I booked here, always nice to have a fridge in a hotel in England as most don't have them. Shower was very powerful and the room was nice and cosy with a nice view. The only thing I would say is the room needs coat hooks, middle of winter and cold outside so we had big coats with no where to put them. There is enough space on the walls so I would deffo say they would be beneficial especially in the smaller rooms like ours!
Temp checks, hand sanitiser throughout and 1 way system through the hotel for Covid which showed me they are taking the safety of their guest and staff correctly :)
I would deffo stay here again and next time will look at booking through the hotels website and it seems you get more benefits when booking through them directly!

Great moderately priced hotel near two train stations for easy access to the sights of London. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable and when I discovered the previous lodger in my room had smoked, I notified management who within 5 minutes relocated me to a clean room. The entire facility is smoke-free, but some rascal had tried to get away with it. What I will remember is how quickly it was resolved. Kudos!

We stayed 4 nights while touring London. Very convenient location, 5 min walk from Paddington station. Staff were extremely polite and caring with good services. We were given a room on the first floor. The room is a bit small in size (as with other hotel rooms in London), no walking space after opening two medium sized luggages, but is very clean and well equipped. There is a kitchenette with plates, pans and cutleries available as well as a microwave. There is free provision of tea and nespresso, with small tubes of milks in the fridge for tea. Very nice tough and much better than using powdered milk. There is also a very powerful kettle which boils water in a minute. Air conditioning is self controlled so you can set the temperature that suits you. Bed and pillow are ok, nothing too special. The washroom is clean with free shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap made by Molton Brown, which despite its brand name, neither me or my wife finds to be good as it makes your skin feel greasy.
The only complaint I have is noise. We are on the first floor to noise from the street is audible and loud at night. The washroom also has an automatic venting which turns on with the light and is annoyingly loud. It isn't so loud that it disrupts your sleep but something to look out for for those sensitive to noise.

Stayed here for a spontaneous weekend in London with my partner and it was by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff were extremely helpful and the check in at reception was fast and easy. Not sure if it is the same for every room but the hotel does take a £50 breakage deposit at check in but you are guaranteed it back after a few working days. The hotel is set in a very picturesque street near Hyde Park and there are many cute coffee shops and shops nearby. The hotel is also near Kensington Palace and other tourist attractions. I highly recommend.

Not a safe hotel. Hotel staff removed a very expensive Apple Watch from our room when we were out during the day. When we confronted management, they said they could not take our word that it had been taken. At our request, they checked the room key records and admitted, however, that the only people who had entered our room after we left were a cleaning woman and a supervisor. After claiming to have talked to the two employees, their defense was that both employees denied taking the watch. Their “solution” was either for us to accept a paltry settlement or they could submit an insurance claim. We requested that they submit the insurance claim, which they never did, despite requests from us that they follow through on what we had agreed. Go ahead and stay at this hotel if you don’t mind having expensive items removed from your room by hotel staff with no consequences whatsoever.

Dear Philip, There is no evidence that your watch has been removed from your room, which we have addressed. Also, we do not have any proof that you actually brought in an expensive watch. Simply demanding at reception to compensate for lost property is inappropriate, and publishing a negative campaign is unacceptable. I have reported this matter to Trip advser. Regards, Mr k. kiren General manager.

The location is good. Appreciated that the hotel allowed me to check in 2 hours early at no charge. Unfortunately the bathroom had a highly intrusive handicapped chair in the shower stall affixed to the wall. Taking a shower required some calisthenics. The room safe was literally on the floor with very unclear instructions on how to use it. Climate control system was wholly inadequate for the humidity. The iron came with a wire that probably 3 feet long at the most. Ironing was quite an adventure. The good news is that between crawling on the floor to get to the safe, doing calisthenics in the shower and sweating profusely due to poor AC, I managed to lose a bit of weight.

In a time when other hotels have been cutting corners with customer service and room cleaning due to COVID, The Westbourne Hyde Park stands head and shoulders above many. The staff are highly attentive and courteous, the hotel and bedrooms are extremely clean, and the hotel room amenities are excellent. I couldn’t fault a single thing about this hotel, it met all our expectations and would definitely stay again. Thank you guys, five stars.

Supermarkets and delis around the corner and Lancaster Gate Undergound station 3 minutes walking in front of Hyde Park.

Good location, close to dried out Hyde Park and two underground stations, including overcrowded Paddington. Lots of bad to worst restaurants, overpriced convenience stores and understocked pharmacies.
Generally speaking, the hotel is in good condition and has efficient front desk staff, with the notable exception of a gentleman who lectured me that, in reality, it was my fault that I was getting bad housekeeping (as described below). Evidently ignoring him, I attributed his reaction to age and a complete lack not only of training but of very basic common sense.
Now the challenge to get a decent housekeeping:just forget it, it is a lost battle. Clearly, this service runs unsupervised and thus with poor or absent standards: one day they knocked at my door at 8:45 and the room will be sparkling clean before 11 while the next day I had to report that, by 16:00, the room had not been cleaned. They did "cleaned" it all-right: fix bed, take trash away, change towels, period. And all in a hurry

Stayed for one night as daughter running the marathon and we wanted to be near Paddington Station. This is a great find and we’ll definitely be back. The location is perfect, very close to public transport and wonderful Hyde Park but on a side street so very little road noise. Slight problem with a fellow guest meant I had to say something at 3 in the morning but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The rooms are well equipped with kitchenettes, good coffee and full size fridge and the beds are very comfortable. Lovely welcoming staff on reception who were very happy to store bags, call taxis etc.

No hotel parking but in street parking, Maybe a public car park close by. I'm just back from London last week after driving from Edinburgh and we parked for the weekend in Nine Elms Sainsbury's which was quite a bit cheaper than other parking. (We didn't stay in the Westbourne this time because we had our dog and it isn't dog friendly.)
