The Good A beautiful setting and a fine inn with car parking, welcoming staff, a friendly lively bar and a great selection of beers all well priced. The bed was comfortable. The bad I had a lovely steak for dinner, my partner and her friend had already eaten and wanted only a cup of tea. Three times they tried, three...

What a nice place to stay. We stayed here on regular family visits for ten times now. Sometimes staying in three rooms, sometimes in one. Downstairs there is plenty of space, the pub looks so authentic Victorian with its fireplaces. The rooms are basic containing all you need. The manager Alan is a great guy, very attentive to your needs....

We went for a mid week meal here after having it recommended to us, have to say we weren't disappointed food was very good value for money, service was great, and the food was excellent with extremely generous portions, a slight error in the processing of our order was quickly sorted out and handled well by the staff, will definitely...

I have been staying in this Hotel since 2002 and have seen changes, I travel from Hull and choose this location as its only 10 minutes from tube station. It is always friendly and has a warm welcome. Rooms are lovely bit colder in winter months but have extra heating if required. I will continue to stay here in the...

. . . just the job for a stay in London. Plenty of off-street parking, bedroom was good and tidy, en-suite more than adequate. Bed with plenty of room to move about a bit. Breakfast traditional English fry-up with egg, sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and loads of fresh bread. Tea and orange juice and cereals. £49 a night for...

Hard to capture the underwhelming experience a night at this hotel proved to be. Flashback to 1970 and when lost on a dark rainy afternoon in the middle of nowhere, this might be the inn one hopes to find. In 2015, however, non-filthy remotes, a place to hang things, clean carpets and a clean albeit quirky experience seem to be...

I had been wanting to visit this hotel for a years, ever since I found out about its existence. I'm a big Hitchcock fan, and so I was excited that there was a hotel in honor of him. I assumed it was going to be decked out with fan memorabilia, etc. - but it wasn't as exciting as either my...
