A nice travelodge. Great location for visiting around by the tower. Friendly attentive staff. Clean and tidy. Allowed us to keep bags there so didn't have to rush back. Had relaxing stay. Would stay again at this travelodge.

This particular Travelodge is in a great location and is perfectly adequate in terms of accommodation and the breakfast provided. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean and friendly hotel perfectly located then look no further. Would highly recommend.

Well placed, very clean, excellent customer service from the young chap on the reception desk. Iced water in jugs at reception was a lovely touch not found in most Travelodge. Great rooms. The best Travelodge I have stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot.

Decent room, and price is good for London. Recent construction, but very Spartan (utilitarian, with no frills or even what most hotels consider basics). No clock. Small TV, with few channels. Quirky shower system. Bed advertised as "King size" but is barely 6 feet wide. No closet or luggage stand. Tiny desk and 1960s chair. Everything is clean. The best...

Very clean and well presented accommodation in an excellent location for Central London. A no fuss approach by staff, who were welcoming without being overbearing. Good experience and highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it has a great location. It is 3-4 minutes from Tower Hill station and the Tower Bridge is just around the corner. My room was nice, but kind of small. It was weird for me that I didn't have a closet in my room, neither a fridge. Both room and bathroom...

Basic travel lodge rooms but cheap for London. Rooms need a bit of diy with loose plug socket and bedside poise lamp falling out of bed frame. Wall mounted tv on wrong angle so screen pretty black when watching it in bed. Despite train line, it wasn't too noisy overnight. For the money it's not bad with clean rooms and...

We have stayed here on a number of occasions. It is convenient for travel and, in the past, a bit of a hidden gem. This time, not so good. The fabric of the building and fittings is getting a bit tired. The rooms, whilst supposedly fitted with new beds, did not seem as comfortable or welcoming as before. The room...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
