Room and bathroom: floor in waves Entrance door not properly isoleted Noisy and dusty air conditioner Sink bottom rusty Toilet seat stained Breakfast Lack of vegetarian options; lack of fresh vegetables like fresh tomatoes
Upon arrival as we were early we were greeted by Antonio on the desk and all I can say is what a breathe of fresh air. He made our experience everything and more and went beyond his duties to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We have stayed here before a few times in the last couple of years but I booked this visit being my partners birthday and Antonio put some lovely little cakes in the room on arrival and we had the most amazing room to make our weekend celebrations worth while. Ny daughter absolutely loved it. Thank you so much
Excellent location very good service Very spacious room good food This is my third stay in this hotel and I enjoyed my stay and will come back again l recommend this hotel for my friends and I recommend for anyone
Dated rooms. Stained carpet. Bath only adequate. Overall a tired hotel. A group of corporate pals and I, while sitting privately, were accosted by two drunk thugs in the bar early on a Thursday night that decided we were their targets. There were suspicious girls at the bar - I’ve come to learn the hotel is known for this. A low class operation overall that puts on airs of being a fancy hotel. The staff in bar and at front desk did what they could for us but the damage was done. Our night was wrecked as we were forced to sneak out the back while bouncers dealt with the thugs. Between a Wild West saloon bar and lower quality room it was A very disappointing experience and stay - I will not make this same mistake twice.
I definitely recommend the Mayfair bar and it’s cocktail list, I was there by my self and I had an outstanding service from Andrea and Peter, there were both very friendly and, as I was there by my self they really made my night, I will definitely be back
Lovely hotel, meeting space and bedrooms are of high quality, wonderful large bathroom. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend, and would certainly stay at this hotel again in the future if visiting London.
position is great its good value for money Bar is very lively nice to come back to in evening and first drink Breakfast was good but short staffed Staff were very good trying to do there best Would not take a lot to excellent
Absolutely disgusting visit to this hotel, visited this hotel with friends for a special birthday. I have stayed in plenty of 5* hotels in London and have never been treated like this. Upon entering the reception area the staff were rude and unprofessional looking us up and down and sniggering served by Rueben who has got to be the most unprofessional rude person I have ever come across. They had my friend whose birthday it was that day in tears. They ripped us off as we had paid £4,000 for 2 suites only after paying the remaining balance were we informed that someone was sick in one of our suites and one of our party would have to stay alone in a room in a different floor! We never received a refund for the room we had paid £2,000 we were offered champagne which was never received. The room we were given was small and dated. The breakfast we received was stone cold otter guests were helped with their luggage but we received no assistance and was left to struggle. Asked for assistance with booking a taxi but would not even give us a taxi number but made more inappropriate comments “who goes out on a Sunday” not sure what business it was of theirs what we were doing with our trip. Had reservations in a Mayfair restaurant which we was late to due to the incompetence and rude staff…
We had a ok time here. The location can’t be beat, breakfast was great and we got an early check in. So big positives for all of those things. However when we first got to our room, the bathroom floor was covered with a few inches of water as someone (housekeeping?) had left a sink running. Maintenance took 3-4 calls before coming up and address the issue (and then we had a musty odor for the remainder of the trip). And secondly, we had a duplex room and no matter what we did to the thermostat, the upstairs portion was unbearably hot at night. I think the hotel must not actually let guests set temperature with thermostats (weirdly, after our room was serviced, they were set to 25 C and 27 C (79 F) on our last two nights despite us usually having them set to 20ish / 68) . Our son was in a crib in the lower part and it was cool and comfortable but my pregnant wife had two sleepless nights as a result. Those issues far outweighed the benefits, especially given that we paid top dollar for the hotel. …
I love this hotel. Staff are great and always accommodating was checked in early again. The food is great value for money for such a great hotel and Gervais mixes amazing cocktails. I come to London once a month and always stay at the Mayfair and the service is always impeccable. Keep it up.
