My husband and I just had a wonderful 3 nights at The Capital Hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location is perfect close to Harrods and the Underground yet on a quiet street. We were warmly welcomed, the staff was lovely. Each night we enjoyed a nightcap in the bar which is cozy and elegant. Our dinner...

I have been staying at the Capital Hotel for many years, and always enjoy my time there. Whilst there is not enough room to swing a cat in the bedrooms, they are not cramped and are elegant and very comfortable indeed. The bar is snug and enticing and the restaurant which is very well thought of is extremely welcoming with...

We only stayed for one night, we had a large, spacious room which was comfortably decorated. The staff were very polite and attentive and greeted us warmly on our arrival at the hotel. Breakfast was the only meal we ate in the hotel, there was a good selection for the continental, and the cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty,...

We like this hotel. Excellent service and no fuss. And it is close to Harrods and Harvey Nichols. We booked a space in the garage for our car and were met at the door by the concierge as soon as we arrived. He parked it and it was returned next day very quickly. Our stay was short but just right....

A great lunch with friends in the private dining room, a supper and breakfast from room service. All were served promptly and lovingly with great ingredients well cooked and presented in a lovely environment. Staff are clearly well trained and genuinely helpful. Good value for London and we will return for a longer stay. Well done Capital. Lesley and Phil

We had a one night stay in an entry level room. The room was small but very comfortable, there was some noise from the neighbouring room through the (locked) interconnecting door early in the evening and we worried that we may be disturbed during the night, but we're not. Valet parking is a boon in this area and reasonably priced...

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
