Booked a Junior Deluxe Suite, although pricey, fair compared to London prices, room facing Monmouth St (instead of the noisy Shaftesbury Ave. ). Very nicely decorated room, spacious bathroom, excellent service (staff was very polite and helpful) , excellent breakfast. High lite also is the 1st floor Study/Library with the fireplaces. Cozy stately home atmosphere. Highly recommended place.

I'm so inlove with this hotel! It is beautiful in every way and not to mention its location! It's in the heart of shopping and dining! The decorations are stylish and the staff are very welcoming! They gave me whatever I asked for! I needed my coat dry cleaned within 3 hours and they did it in 2 hours! Don't... More

Our friends were staying here, and I could not resist. This hotel is wonderful -- the rooms are generous, the linens are yummy, the toiletries divine. We took full advantage of the honor bar (except when there were parties in the room, which I imagine only happens at holiday time.) The bar and restaurant downstairs is also fantastic. But the... We went here with friends yesterday. We had a package where we saw a film in their cinema and then had dinner afterwards. The cinema was small and intimate but there was so much room the seats were very comfortable and we each had a box of popcorn to take in with us with a choice of either sweet or... More

This place just feels right! We were downright giddy whilst we stayed here. Fantastic service, chic decor and a great English breakfast to boot!! Everything is designed to make one's experience just so. If it's good enough for Thom Yorke it's good enough for me.

This is the 4th time we stayed in the very conveniently located, super charming boutique Covent Garden hotel, part of the Firmdale Hotels (owned by Kip Kemp, who designs/decorates all their hotels and her husband). The hotel is walking distance from Covent Garden (10 min's), Soho (5 min's), Picadilly Circus and many other interesting places. The atmosphere in the hotel... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
