Despite the alluring images this hotel lacked in so many areas. The room; a standard double but only marginally larger than the bed!. The décor was shabby and needs a desperate refurbish. 3 dead light bulbs in overhead lamp. A double socket that did not work. Carpet worn and faded. The bed was OK BUT I have not slept with... More

I had found "Pavillion Hotel" listed on a website with top "value for money" hotels in London and agree that by London standards, rooms are quite spacious and the price is decent. Let's split it into pros and cons: Pros: - very convenient location: within walking distance to Paddington Station, Marble Arch, Oxford St., etc. and the Nr. 23 bus... More

Room was called the Quiet Room, far from it. Noise from traffic all night. Television didn't work, shower control faulty room cramped. Duty manager/ owner rude only interested in making excuses. Paid extra £15.00 for 4 hours parking when I found out after it was free on Sundays on the road outside which he knew.

I'd been looking forward to reviewing this one although a little apprehensive about staying at the hotel on account of so many poor reviews. However, my fears were immediately dispersed when I saw the room. I stayed in Silhouette which was enchanting. Beautiful room with a decent size and lots of quirkly details. Perfectly clean, good shower pressure, decent bed.... More

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night, the hotel itself is quite quirky with interesting decor but what stood out for me most was the bed and how poor it was, you could feel the spring's in places it never stopped creaking. I had about 3 hours sleep all night.

This hotel was a super convenient location, just a short walk from Paddington station. Great for the Heathrow Express train. The road is pleasant and leafy. Round the corner are many shops & cafes open into the night. The hotel staff were a bit poor on the local knowledge so I had to experiment with the reservations on my own.... More

As I arrived the staff was helpful and polite, but the surprise was when I saw the room. Tiny, even smaller than single rooms I stayed in places like Tokyo which is well known for lack of space. The bed was old and the mattress very uncomfortable, the bedding - was ancient, though the white sheets underneath were clean. There... More

I was excited to visit this place because the website images are so theatrical. In reality, the design has a lot of imagination and flair but the antique furnishings, while lovely to look at, are not that practical to live with. The opulent empire style bed left little space to manoeuvre around it and I was constantly bumping my shins!... More
