We wanted to find a small boutique hotel that was more Victorian. This was it! The staff was great, the food was great. The location was a good spot. There are alot of London top dance clubs near by. We didnt go to them but...More
Today has highlighted the risk that hotels and other service industries run by poor recruitment or failing to train staff properly.

We just returned from a trip to London, where we stayed at the Rookery Hotel. What a wonderful place. It's in a quaint area of London, very close to the metro, and what a charming hotel with a lot of great amenities. When have you...More

This charming hotel has books not just in the comfortable library but scattered throughout the hotel, in the rooms, on an antique table in the hall, on the window ledges. I enjoyed reading the Agatha Christie novel I found in the selection in our room....More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
I don' think the hotel has a designated parking area, but I am sure you can check on the internet for parking garages in the area (Smithfield Market). Of course the parking may cost more than the room!
