It took me few months to write this review. I stayed at MO London in April this year for a business trip. I love all MO hotels and Paris one was my favorite. London MO holds up the standard but it's bit old. Actually most of the five star hotels in London are old. Breakfast was great!

London should be the place for a great tea time experience right? We were treating a girlfriend to champagne tea for her birthday but honestly this was the worst tea I've ever had in London. The room was characterless, slime green upholstery, veneer tables and, absolutely unforgivably, no tablecloths or flowers! We should have walked out based on the room...

Firstly there is some refurb work ongoing, which did not affect our stay and experience in anyway. I appreciate it is needed from time to time, in great hotels, to maintain their appearance, and thankfully it did not detract from a wonderful stay. Having stayed for a few nights, used both restaurants and the spa, my only regret is that...

There is no doubting the pedigree of Mandarin Oriental London. The service is impeccable, staff are so good that they almost anticipate what you will ask for next. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is absolutely doable. You ask for an inch, and they give you a mile. All of this, of course, should in theory be the case for...

The service at the Mandarin is outstanding; all the staff friendly and efficient. The swimming pool is huge and luxurious. The fitness center, especially for a hotel in the center of London, has everything you need and is a good place to workout. Some reviewers have said the Hotel is in need of refurbishment to meet 5 star luxury expectations,...

Have stayed here before and loved it but not this time. My room had to be changed after 1st night as there was a burning smell. Bathroom floor tiles were broken. Shower leaked. WiFi was paid for. The worst part the management did nothing to address my issues. This will be my last time there.

Very last minute overnight stay. Booked a suite, been upgraded to an amazing suite but even without the upgrade it would have been a great experience. Attentive staff, felt constantly welcomed. Cocktails at Bar Mandarin were excellent (big improvements over the memory I had from my previous visits), Dinner great, as usual. Absolutely fantastic stay. Can't wait for our next...

Firstly I want to say the service in this hotel was really excellent - we were only there for 1 night but they were friendly and efficient. I would say that the rooms are not 5 star and the walkways through the hotel during its refurbishment is not attractive or efficient. I understand that refurbishments need to be done however...

I booked a junior suite Hyde park view for my mums birthday. The whole front is in scaffolding and check in is through a small entrance at the side and once inside resembles a small funeral parlour. We were told we couldn't check in yet "did we have shopping to do?" No problem it was 1pm however when we returned...

My friends and I decided to have some pre drinks at the Mandarin Hotel, despite their extensive and inconvenient refurbishments, which resulted in an extremely poor service experience. We ordered drinks on arrival, which were very slow considering the bar was nearly empty (6.30pm). Our party all arrived by 6.50pm and by 7pm all had a drink. With a dinner...

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
