I've stayed Ina few holiday inns recently with work and have always left a little disappointed. This was no different. The room was clean enough but very warm and the air con system wasn't working. The staff were friendly enough although most seemed to be training which dining help the speed of getting things done at a busy time. Breakfast...

Great location, just a short walk from Old Street tube - check in was efficient and friendly. Twin room was good size with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was a decent size & nice big shower. Breakfast was fine, it's what I would call a limited buffet offering, but no complaints about the quality or quantity of food on...

WE stayed there for a night as a family of 4 and room was ideal for our stay, clean and large enough not to be falling over each other all the time. Staff were helpful and personable. We were lucky to get a space in one of the 7 spaces they had available at a cost of £30, but if...

Easy to find. Good breakfast. Easy reach of most of London. Rooms clean and staff are friendly. Loved the idea of the phone in the room you can take with you round the city. I would happily stay again

Lost my booking, then wanted credit card. When all was paid. Room poor, no lifts as"waiting for parts" one supposedly working but never moved from 5th floor, as builders using it. Breakfast has absolutely nothing for vegetarian except runny scrambled egg. No mushrooms tomato etc. Builders using power tools from 7:30. Had to prove I had paid - lucky I...

Simple, clean, conveniently located hotel. Plenty of nearby nightlife and the hotel is on the edge of the City. Room was basic, but clean and quiet, despite being on a main road. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We've staid in a few other hotels in London in this price range and like in any major city in Europe, hotels can be a let down. This hotel was very nice, staff was friendly. We had a room for our family with a pull out bed. The room was a bit small (again, common in London), but it was...

The service in this place is fine, although the breakfast area under the umbrella term "Express Start" quite rightly didn't bode well. Unfortunately, I found that my room was a major let-down. Desk and chair were disproportionate to each other, making longer work sessions impossible despite the good WiFi the hotel offers. The real shock came when I wanted to...

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
