Took my sister here as a birthday treat for afternoon tea. Reserved through open table on line - pretty straight forward. Hotel has a lovely decor. Afternoon tea menu a little confusing as did not match up to how advertised on line. Sandwiches & cakes were replenished if necessary. Lorenzo our waiter was very attentive. Spent about 1hr & 15... Really liked the improvements made with the refurbishment as during our previous stay we felt the bedroom room and bathroom were very 'tired' and very shabby. Only one gripe. The expensive cooked breakfast was cold and unappealing

I was so excited to be given an SPG upgrade to a suite. That's where the good news ended. I had the worst night sleep ever. In fact, I'm writing this review at 5am because I was awoken by the noise. Room 151 overlooks the park and you hear the tube rumbling by every five minutes. The whole room shakes... More

1 - The location of this hotel was perfect for our trip. It was right on the Piccadilly line (a straight 40 minute shot from the airport) and also walking distance to Hyde Park, Westminster, Big Ben, SOHO and even Harrods! 2 - The Tea Service is awesomely old school with great tea options, delicious pastries and sandwiches and a... My husband and I just returned from London and I could not wait to write a review. Have stayed here before and was equally "wowed". Renovations are beautiful. The club lounge on the first floor is quite nice - very accessible all day. Great breakfast for loyal SPG members. An added perk was the android phone on. nightstand. It was... More

Competent but one of the dishes had to be sent back. Atmosphere OK. Club sandwich was good. Jerzyk chicken was poor. It was sent back and re-cooked to reasonable standard. Overall a satisfactory meal.

This is the first time we have stayed at the hotel since all the renovations have been completed. Wow what a great job has been done. Managed to modernise the hotel but still kept the art-deco feel. We stayed 3 nights and from day 1 staff were very friendly and attentive and made our stay special. We stayed in a... More

Good news is that the hotel is newly renovated. And it remains in a great location. Bad news is that the renovations were designed by a person without much design sense or acumen. Our bathroom had not a single towel rack. The towels are folded up on a shelf under the sink but there was literally no where to put... More

Pros: - Location: about 100 meters from Green Park on the Jubilee Line, opposite a park and you can cut thru to Buckingham Palace. Hype Park & winter wonderland just round the corner, a short walk (20 mins) to orchard, 10 mins to Piccadilly Circus. - Rooms: We were upgraded to a club room which was nice size with a... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
