Unfortunately I booked before reading the reviews. When we arrived were allocated a room on the 4th floor- were not advised that the lift was not working and struggled with case up the very old staircase. The bathroom was very dated with dirty taps etc. but the sheets and very small towels were clean. Full English breakfast was virtually inedible...

This hotel was very much in need of refurbishment. Carpets throughout were threadbare and the place did not seem clean. Our room was on the 3rd floor and as there was no lift it was a challenge. The room was tiny and we had a back of hotel room, which did not even have a view. The window was opaque and broken. When we...

I stayed at RNH during the last two weeks of 2009. I rented a single room which I got for £46/night. I found the room to be very small, but fortunately I only travelled with a small cabin luggage and I managed to store it in a very tight corner between the bed and the wardrobe. If someone travelling with...

We booked this hotel for one night and requested 2 rooms on the same floor as we had 2 children, 2 months before we arrived. The rooms were 3 floors apart, no help or assistance given when we arrived. The carpets are threadbare and dirty, the curtains the same. The en-suite was mouldy, small, dirty and no hot water. During...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 8 to 12 December on a bargain break through Superbreaks. I had booked before checking the hotel out on Tripadvisor and on finally checking it out was a little apprehensive on reading some reviews. I have to agree that it looks run down with areas of threadbare carpeting but I never...

I found this hotel on lastminute.com and have stayed there about 8 times in the last 3 years for city breaks or a place to stay when I go to watch football in London. The hotel is a little warn and reminds me of an old style Blackpool B&B, however is may have a few cracked walls and warn carpets...

We have just spent 3 nights at the Royal Norfolk Hotel in Paddington, Great location but unfortunately the Hotel lacks quality in an abundance and needs alot of money for a drastic refurb. The carpets are mainly thread bare throughout and are of a very poor quality. Our room was on the 3rd floor even though we had requested ground...

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It bears absolutely no resemblence to their web page. I arrived with my 8 yr old daughter en route to Heathrow and was allocated a 3rd floor room which was horrible - dingy, cupboard sized. What carpet there is in this building is thread bare and sticks to your feet...

Although we've been to London many times, we never had a hotel with toilets as dirty as the Royal Norfolk hotel. Our room was nice and clean, shower was ok. But when we checked out i had to go to the toilet one last time. I was sent to the toilets at the Hotel lobby. Check for yourself how they...
