I booked a studio apartment mainly because of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I was in room 306 which was small but had everything you need - though I did a bit of rearranging of furniture. On the negative side, going up so many flights of narrow stairs wasn't ideal and I would have preferred to be facing the courtyard because...

I stayed at the Vancouver Studios for a week and overall I had a good stay. I liked that the location is very close to the Bayswater tube station and there are a couple of small markets and some eateries right in the area, as well as a laundry and a gym that accepts short-term passes. The hotel itself had...

Vancouver Studios has a nice location for touring London. It is within a five minute walk of two underground stations on two different lines as well as loads of places to eat and shop. You can get fast food or pub fare, sushi or burgers or falafel. Yet, the Studios itself is not on a busy street and is nice...

A very nice place to stay in London! It was very cosy, clean and with all the equipment we could need (kittle, nespresso etc...). The disctrict near notting hill and portobello is calm and not too far from the tube. Perhaps a little too far if you have very little children...

We stayed at Vancouver for three nights in Feb 2017, travelling as couple. It is a small boutique hotel that in fact offers serviced studios. Hotel interior and services provided where everything we required. The room was small but clean and with nice decor. There was a caffee and tea provided and small kitchen space with microwave. Hotel does not...

Vancouver Studios ticked all the boxes for my London stay. Easily accessed from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express, close to tube stations, many restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby and excellently placed for visiting so many sights in London. Excellent accommodation also with spotless rooms and very attractive decor - a little quirky but with the emphasis on comfort and...

The Vancouver is in a great location, 5 minutes' walk from Bayswater Tube Station with pubs, cafes, restaurants, optometrists, pharmacies, supermarkets and a shopping mall all within an easy stroll. You can open the window for fresh air and the rooms are clean and functional. Lots of quirky bric a brac in the hallways and landings add some English eccentricity....

Vancouver Studios is not only a great value, but it's located close to some great pubs, restaurants and shopping. It is also close to the Bayswater underground station and has a staff who are all warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The room felt a bit small for my liking; however, being from the US, I'm used to bigger rooms. Also, the...

Great price and central location. Room 32 was a little noisy - could hear next room easily and noise from outside on the road but very happy overall as had a good sleep. Kitchenette with microwave is a nice touch.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
