I found this location on Expedia, had a friend that lives in London check it out from the outside and then took a leap of faith, and booked it - what a fantastic leap of faith! Apartment 2E was a 3 bed, 2-bath very spacious and clean apartment. It had a separate kitchen, living area with dining table and enough...

We stayed at No.1 The Mansions over Christmas and it was terrific. The Apartment was huge with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and felt like a real home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped and the complimentary breakfast basket which included fresh milk and bread was very thoughtful. The separate washing machine and dryer made doing the laundry...

We spend 5 nights in nr. 1D with 8 persons, 4 couples. A lot of space, large rooms, a separate dining room, nice interior, good kitchen. Comfortable extra daily service with cleaning and fresh towels. Near to the Underground station and within 20 minutes in the centre of London. We even went running with the family in Hyde Parc.

We have stayed at the No 1 Mansions for the past seven years. Each year gets better and better. Roy and the staff make us feel as a part of the family and go out of their way to accommodate any possible needs. We always stay on the top floor. Yes we hear the police and ambulance sirens, but it's...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the 5th floor. Kids were amazed by the elevator. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff was very welcoming (I think his name was Paul, remembered he was a Liverpool fan). Even though we arrived late due to a flight delay, he was welcoming, showed us to our apartment, explained how things worked...

Location is the key for how good these apartments are 2 mins walk to the tube which will then get you anywhere you like. The staff are very helpful and the apartments are clean and functional. We were a family group and i highly recommend staying here as it allows access to everywhere and very comfortable living arrangements.

Self contained serviced apartments in a great location. Close to Earls court rail station and shops. Central heating so nice and warm in winter. Could be a bit warm in summer as no aircon. The kitchen and washing machine were a bonus and allowed us to cook meals and wash our clothes. A breakfast pack and milk and juice in...

Having stayed in Earls Court before we decided to stay again but needed larger accommodation for extra family. This place was perfect. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of room..separate living and dining room. All modern appliances and everything you need in the kitchen. Felt like a home for this Xmas week. Great bus and rail services nearby to get...

Good, clean & comfy. Would recommend and come back. We were upgraded which was a nice surprise - wish we had stayed longer and made the most of it. More milk would have been nice - apart from that - very good,

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
