The location of this Hotel is Excellent - Near metro Gloucester Road near Queens Gate, near Kensington Park - and only 5 minuters from Knightsbridge with the bus. Reception and Concierge are very helpfull and friendly. The rooms are not very big but clean and confortable - Breakfast is fair. The price is acceptable for the offered quality

Added this one night stay onto our prebooked two day stay at another hotel and wished we'd been here all along. Lovely comfortable room (soft pillows which my wife needs), great bar serving great food at very reasonable prices. Booked direct and saved 10% plus free wifi (charged at £12.50 per day at the hotel) and wonderful complimentary breakfast (again...

We were given a tea for two voucher for Christmas. We arrived and were met by a friendly receptionist who took our voucher and showed us to the hotel loos to freshen up. After that we were shown to our table by the resturant waitress. The food was lovely and can't be faulted but after a few minutes we were...

Stayed on the 6th and 7th March... Positives Staff were friendly and the location is good, just around the corner from the tube and there is a Waitrose supermarket nearby. The reception area was pleasant and the hotel was generally clean. Negatives We were initially offered a room on the fifth floor, which although modernised had the most appalling bed...

Good sized room (complimentary upgrade!). Really friendly staff and excellent piano bar with entertainment. Bar food and prices were good for Kensington. Breakfast was also very good. Will absolutely stay again. Thanks.

My partner and I stayed at the end of March, for a short weekend break. The hotel was clean and welcoming. Nice girl on reception (Jasmine?) who checked us in quickly and directed us to our room. The bar was lovely and I had the best mojito I have had in a long time! Our room was clean, with 2...

Stayed here for three nights during our vacation in the UK. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast buffet (included with the room) is delicious. The location is excellent - within walking distance distance of many attractions. An Underground station is also nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent a week at this hotel in mid March while exploring London. Very happy with this hotel: easy access to tube, supermarket, restaurants and reasonable walking distance to some tourist attractions. Rich and abundant buffet style breakfast but it could have offered a different selection throughout the week. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby lacks speed; intended only for checking e-mails...

The good things first-good location, very clean, decent food, mostly friendly staff. Room was very cramped, reception poor, very few hangers for 4 people, broken shower. Adequate but have stayed in much better. Probably will not use again.

Location was fantastic and domestic and dining staff were excellent. Rest was well below average. Building has very musty smell throughout and in need of attention. Care factor from the male staff member on in the evenings is non existent - sloppy presentation and unprofessional manner. Breakfast would be good but the 'hot' selections aren't even vaguely warm. We stayed...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
