2nd time staying here, great luxury area not to far from everything. The hotel is basic, clean and reasonably priced in an expensive city. The rooms are small too but that’s very European considering. Overall okay for your mom if you don’t want luxury.
Hotel came as a package with a theatre show. 3* close to underground.
We upgraded to the Spritual room to find bare walls, old curtains, single glazed windows. As in Feb the room was cold on arrival. Was told heating comes on at 2pm.

I made reservation with double bed, but they give me room with two single beds and say that it is not possible change room...so we sleep with my husband in single bed. Wifi didn’t work in room. Nothing good.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
