Although a good location for our trip (a concert at earls court) our experience at the hotel wasn't great. After 3 emails to the hotel prior to our stay about dropping our bags off none of which they replied too, arriving to our room a findig a twin rather than double, waiting half an hour to have this changed, then...

We were looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful and we feel we found something great for the price we paid. - Modern deco and well thought out finishing touches - Could have maybe done with a duvet on the bed instead of blanket but the rooms were not cold - shower was small but was good water pressure, constant temperature...

Arrived for a 3 night stay, room was a good size, very clean and had everything we needed, staff were friendly and location was excellent, 10 minute walk to tube. However I went to take a shower that night to find the temperature knob didnt work and the shower was stuck at scalding hot. Phoned down to ask for it...

Super great location! Just 3 blocks from the tube, supermarket, restaurants, banks and numerous coffe shops (including Starbucks and cafe Nero). Very basic breakfast but adequate! Small rooms but not uncomfortably small. Very good price for the things it has to offer!

i visited London on a Saturday night. We live in Sussex and decided to spend the night in an area of the Capital we both loved. Beautiful building, decent rooms (on the small side and with the heating on full blast), clean. Maybe lacking a friendly touch from the staff who all seemed to be busy enough not to bother...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. Our room (room 101) was small but we had everything we needed and for the amount of time we spent in the hotel it was absolutely perfect! There is so much to do in London we literally just went to our room to sleep! The room...

Having never stayed at this hotel before I was pleasantly surprised, considering the great location and price. My room 215 was at the back of the hotel overlooking a quiet mews, and was a double with small bathroom. The room was very basic in decor but very clean, comfortable and very warm. I did try to connect to the internet in...

Reception people have absolutly no idea what service means and some people are directly rude. Would never stay there again neither recomend it to anybody. Rooms are very small and interior poor, but okay for the price. Breakfast very basic - only toast, cornflakes and some fruits.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 night and thought the hotel was perfect for our needs. There are resturants, a grocery store and public transportation only a few blocks away. The hotel is also on a residental street, so very quiet. The breakfast was basic, but nice that it was included in our stay (a cup of coffee...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
