Only spent one night here and managed to negotiate a good deal arriving from the street. The receptionist was most obliging and showed me both rooms that were still available. I chose the better one on the first floor rather than the more basic one in the basement. The wifi worked well and the bed was comfy. It was a... More

The Melita offers a basic hotel service but charges enough to expect a bit more. For £189 a night WiFi without a £10 surcharge is not too unreasonable! The rooms are clean but dated - the room manual talks about the family owning it since the 1970s which is echoed by the fake wood laminated walls and teak bannister (the... More

I have just come back from 8 nights at the Melita hotel in a Superior Single room. It was a nice BnB hotel to stay at in a good, handy location. My bed was a little on the hard side for my taste and the room was very small. Having said that, it was exactly as described by the Hotel,... More

Dear Abby058, Thank you for your kind review, we are very happy that you have enjoyed your stay with us. However we were a bit surprised reading about the "missing" heaters, as ALL the rooms have got a heater installed in the room and also in the bathroom, individually controlled by the guest(s). The winters here in London can get... More

We were in London as part of a large European vacation September 22 23 and 24... we booked The Melita knowing what to expect and were satisfied with our choice, The Melita is a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station and 15 to The Victoria coach station, in fact our hop on hop off tour stopped at 7pm and we... My wife and I stayed here in September for 3 nights, I had never been to the Pimlico area before but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. Lovely area with plenty to do. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, great location close to Victoria Station. Ample sized room, very clean and all necessary facilities provided. Full English breakfast was very filling, just what was needed for a day sightseeing in London. Robert on reception was more than helpful with any queries, wifi password, bus and train routes to take etc. Hotel looked after... More

Quite affordable for London, but the room was very small, and so was the bed, and service was not consistent. Very limited choice for breakfast (you better like full English breakfast or toasts or cornflakes else too bad for you). Cherry on the pudding, we were told that wifi was not included and we had to pay 10 Gbp per... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
