I stayed at the Russell in July 2015. My review is a bit late. I absolutely loved my stay. The suite I had was large and comfy. I had more than enough room for luggage, to do work and relax. The staff were very professional and friendly. I enjoyed a very nice afternoon tea in the dining room. I found...

We had a great stay at Hotel Russell. It was perfectly located and our room was large and comfortable. We even had a good view of Bloomsbury. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was good, a very British breakfast. The tube is just next door, and the bus stops are great for tourists. We were worried about finding...

It is on the expensive side. Very beautiful inside and a great location by the British Museum. Easy to get to the Metro and buses. The Breakfast is nice and a lot to choice from. Worth staying here. I would stay here again.

Amazing hotel and having walked past it a few times, we really wanted a view of London/ Russell Square and /or? Booked months in advance and on arrival were treated to a view of the courtyard as " busy with renovations"! Extreme disappointment and while the room and all else was great, the walk-in shower was not! Old design that...

Came last year for my 20th birthday and stayed in this hotel we were given the 'couples experience room' which was nice! They had given us a bottle of bubbly, rose petals on the bed and little chocolates! Only stayed the night so didn't sample the restaurant nor the bar but looked very good! The reception was polite and very...

We consider only the Hotel Russell for three reasons: 1) Flying into Heathrow you can go down to the trains and alight a little over an hour later at the hotel. Do not know of another hotel in London where this is possible. This can save a good deal of money (up to $100 or more in a taxi) and...

We had a very big room and it had recently been updated. Beautiful old world lobby of marble, historic, but completely updated. Great vie of Russell Square and steps from the tube. Super easy airport access on the tube. Great bar and a nice happening neighborhood.

If you want to experience that victorian feel and as they say, the lobby is 'Titanic' inspired. A very short walk to the nearest station (2 mins!) Staff were overall very friendly and we also met a Pinoy over there, but he already grew up in London. The buffet breakfast was mediocre, so we recommend to just dine on nearby...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
