Nice hotel. Close to museums and underground station. No bar though which would've been nice on an evening. Staff were ok (just doing their job). Bathroom very small with very little room to use the loo which wasn't possible without being up against a very cold tiled wall!!!

Hotel seems not too bad, although you have to pay to use the internet - that hardly work in your room, only in the lob, but my room was infested with bed bugs. I reported this to the management, but they downplayed it ('might have been a musquito'). Well, it wasn't. My arms and face are covered in itchy red...

We stayed at this hotel as a base for a New Years Eve trip, the hotel is located in a good place and not too far away from the tube station, the hotel is clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a double room for the night which was located in the basement which unfortunately come with...

Booked between Christmas and new year as a mini break. I read some of the mixed reviews on here but due to the low cost and location I decided to go for it anyway. Im glad I did, as there's nothing wrong the place. I had a single room which although on the small side was clean and noise free....

I booked this hotel for 3 nights Sunday to Tuesday as I was visiting a friend in Kensington. I had booked it for its location (approximately 5 minutes walk to Gloucester Road station). The first room I was allocated was on the 6th floor, it was very shabby and had very noisy plumbing. I went to reception and spoke to...

Conveniently nestled between Gloucester road and Earls court tube stations on the busy picadilly line, this modern hotel offers basic facilities, good value and it is clean and tidy . The buffet breakfast ( with the options continental and English is good and the staff are very helpful. Only negative remark I have to make is that wifi is charged...

I travelled with a friends and we choose this hotel based on reviews and the photos posted on tripadvisor. The photos don't correspond to the reality: it's dirty, old and uncomfortable. The reception was very kind. The wifi you have to pay (make sure when you book, the price includes wi-fi). It's well located, but I would not choose again...

I booked a single budget room. The room was in a basement with no windows but this was offset by the quality of the room. However, there was quite a bit of room noise - internally from a fuse box and externally from a lift and walkways. So you have a qualified positive vote for this budget room.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
