From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special. We were spending the night in London to celebrate my partners 50th and received a complimentary upgrade. All staff are so attentive and customer focussed, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally located for Covent Garden, Trafalgar Sq and the South Bank. The breakfast was delicious... More

Stayed at the Horseguards for a week over a family vacation....fantastic service all around and a great location close to either Embankment or Westminster Underground stations. While not the cheapest in the city, you get what you pay for, too.

Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. Afternoon tea location is quite close to the entrance. Chairs were very large and quite comfy. The food itself was lovely, especially the little pastries. The downside was the service. Although the staff were lovely and helpful, we had to ask for our (inclusive) champagne; we had to wait for them to pour teas... More

We booked this hotel for its location to visiting London's most popular tourist spots and it didn't disappoint on that front. Our room was spacious for a city hotel, extremely comfy bed and very clean. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was very good, plenty of choice and very well presented. The only disppointing aspect we found is... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I would always try to book into it when visiting London as our first choice hotel. Second time stayed at The Royal Horseguards Hotel. Absolutely fantastic. From the moment the concierge opened the door. The view from the room couldn.t of been better - over looking the Thames opposite the Millennium Wheel (at night when all lit up, just like the postcards you see). The room was exceptional as you would expect from a Hotel of... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
