The hotel is very convenient for spending a night in the middle of the city for business but my stay didn't start well. There were two employees at desk doing nothing but I was told to use self check in machine. After spending over £200 for a room, self check in was the last thing I expected. The room was...

Room is clean, its size is normal or even i can call as Big. It is a basic room, Coffee / tea available in the room and amenities are available in the bathroom....

I stayed here for one night, it's a great location for business. My room was comfortable, coffee making facilities available in the room ,always welcome . The shower was spacious, strong water pressure and best of all simple hot or cold dial. A key plus of this hotel for me is the free coffee in the comfortable lounge area. Another...

If you want to be in the City then its a great location. But this is pretty basic stuff - I think they bought their sink surrounds from the same supplier as Travelodge - seriously - would expect a bit more. Carpet is quite garish and very nylon - a feature I also remember from CQ downtown NY where static...

We stayed here for a week after my daughter and I tagged along on my wife's business trip. The hotel room is OK for the business person but we soon discovered that the room made the 3 of us claustrophobic. Definitely not a family friendly type of hotel. The hotel is in the financial district of London and on a...

This hotel was nice enough for a one night stay. The rooms are a decent size, the shower is a bit basic but works. For the price it was fine. You can get your own drinks and cereal bars which is a nice touch.

Small room without a view no bath just a shower that was absolutely fantastic powerful jets that hit the spot. The hotel doors were very noisy when closing due to the delay on the closer that suddenly slammed shut An expensive hotel that didn't include breakfast in the room rate

If you're staying the weekend this is not the place as City is dead over the weekend. If you're visiting City at other times it may a decent alternative. The rooms are pretty basic with nothing more than the bare essentials. Bed was good but not super comfy. You'll get rest but you also might here doors slamming and your...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
