The Abbey Court's most redeeming factor has to be its physical location which is excellent - within 2 minutes walk of Notting Hill Gate Underground. Otherwise, I'm afraid it's all downhill. The hotel is small and so are its rooms (my bedroom was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in). The bathroom is really tiny and the shower...

Wow ! what a pleasant surprise, this hotel is what we call posh in Australia, the upmarket area of Kensington is beautiful, only a minute from the underground which is the easy way to travel all over London and very cheap, the huge Portabella markets are in the next street The hotel is 5 star and you couldn't find better for the reasonable...

We were very disappoined staying at the Abbey Court in London with the exception of the front desk help and the location of the hotel to the tube. The room was was cleaned every day, but the room itself was not taken care of. The wallpaper was old and spliting at the seams. The canopy over the bed and the...

The rooms are fine and everything is spotlessly clean. It's a very calm Hotel. I'd recommend it to everyone, specially to people who speak portuguese, once there are a lot of brazilian and portuguese people working there.

We booked this hotel as a place for our son and daughter-in-law's honeymoon in London. Months before they arrived we arranged with the hotel to pay for their stay with our credit card, sending our the card number. Their stay was split in two pieces - the first for three nights, a trip outside London for a week and return...

My husband and I stayed here last week during a bit of a heat wave in London. We arrived at the hotel very early in the morning and the front desk staff allowed us to leave our luggage in the lobby while we went sightseeing and our room was prepared. When we arrived back at the end of the day,...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
