Just back from a four night stay at the Cheval Lexham Gardens where we stayed for a family holiday. We have stayed at Cheval properties before but this was our first visit here and the property was excellent. I presume it has been taken over and fully renovated since the last review as the rooms and communal areas are of the usual high Cheval standard and indeed you could still smell the newness of the furniture.
Our room was a two bedroom groundfloor aparrment overlooking the communal garden at the rear. I imagine it it was by no means the largest in the property but it was lovely and spacious for the three of us with the latest appliances (you may need advanced computer skills to work the combined oven/microwave), lovely comfy beds, walk in showers (no bath in our room) and full effective air conditioning. The kitchen was well stocked with milk, bread, pastries, eggs, bottled water and orange juice and other sundries so we did not have to buy much in which was nice. The apartment had everything you would need for a longer stay such as the washer, ironing board etc..
The communal garden area was again lovely and new and would be quite pleasant to sit out in during the evening. The underground line itself runs down the back of the garden area and is audible pretty much until it shuts down but unless you are at the back of the building and a light sleeper it probably would not be an issue.
The gym area is quite small and could probably only take two or three at a time but the equipment (treadmill, crosstrainer and multigym) is all new and still being added to. Who goes to these places to work out anyway?
The staff were friendly and efficient and our apartment was cleaned everyday.
The neighbourhood appears quite pleasant and the property is an easy walk away from Earls Court and Gloucester Road tube stations and about 15 mins walk from the Albert Hall and the museums. There is a Sainsburys and Waitrose close by if you need more supplies. The cabbies are still working it out so some may need some pointers if you have to get a taxi to the property.
All in all we probably still prefer the Cheval Three Quays property due to the river views but this one is more convenient for the Albert Hall and museums and we will certainly stay again the next time a good concert comes around....

We booked with Secret Escapes and stayed at Lexham Gardens for 6 nights in August. We booked a one bedroom superior apartment and were upgraded to a huge two bedroom luxury apartment and it was fabulous! Really luxurious. The apartments reopened in July after being closed for renovations and everything in the apartments and in the common areas of the building have been finished to a very high standard. As the previous reviewer said though, an instruction booklet for the oven would have saved a bit of googling! Our welcome hamper provided more than enough for our first afternoon and breakfast (milk, tea, biscuits, Nespresso coffee, bread, eggs, croissant, cheese, ham, fruit, juice, water) and some items were replenished during our stay. Our apartment was throughly cleaned every day and all the staff were excellent: helpful, efficient and polite. Our apartment overlooked the garden which did look like a pleasant place to sit in good weather. Although there was some noise from the underground trains and the Sainsburys car park over the way, it didn’t disturb us (and I say that as a light sleeper!). Away from the main roads, this very upmarket area is mainly one of quiet residential streets. If you’re heading out towards Kensington High Street or Kensington Gardens, there is a passageway, Lexham Walk, at the corner of Lexham Gardens, which quickly leads up to Cornwall Gardens, rather than walking via the main roads Marloes Road or Cromwell Road.

We loved the Lexham Gardens property. We were supposed to stay here during the Christmas holidays, but our plans were derailed. We pivoted to a May stay. Everyone at the property went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The room (1D) was spotless on arrival and the sofa bed was comfy for our Cambridge nephew who stayed a few days during our trip. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient and we appreciated the croissants, eggs, milk, butter and snacks on arrival. The daily water (both still and sparkling) was appreciated. Tony helped us figure out the thermostat on the first day and always cheerfully greeted us throughout our stay. Valerie and the rest of the front desk staff were helpful with local suggestions and handled all our needs promptly. I can't imagine staying at another property when we visit London again. My only suggestion - and this is a small one - is that I wish there were yoga mats and a foam roller in the gym. Granted, the gym was always empty when I used it and they have sufficient equipment, but these few extra items would be appreciated. (Picky comment - I know.) We look forward to returning. This is our third stay at Lexham Gardens - always very clean, spacious and comfortable bedrooms, comfortable lounge room and very well appointed kitchen facilities with very adequate cooking utensils. The advantage of washing machine/drier - daily supply of clothes washing detergent. Staff are very helpful and accommodating - we loved being upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. Would be great if there was a full length mirror. It is in a great location, close to Kensington High Street, Gloucester Road and tube stations, Hyde Park and shops and pubs. We would highly recommend staying here and plan to stay again next time we are in London.

The every rooms are pretty. They welcomed us with some foods with a bottle of still water and sparkling water, and two bottles of orange juice. There is a washing machine and some other comfy furniture too. It was absolutely amazing to stay at. Highly recommend:)

My son and I stayed over the holidays and I can't imagine how our trip could have been better. The property is immaculate and well decorated with every convenience. It was especially helpful to have a washer/dryer in our unit along with every other amenity anyone would need.
The beds were especially comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious. There were full bottles of shampoo/conditioner/bath wash, robes, slippers and thick towels made all the better by having towel warmers.
We were especially pleased with the service. The daily made service was excellent and unobtrusive and the front desk staff were friendly and always helpful. We had a problem with a travel emergency for my brother, who was also staying at the hotel, and they were very accommodating.
The location is excellent, not far from Kensington Gardens, and convenient to both the Earl's Court and Gloucester Road Tube Stations. It's a safe neighborhood with trees in the adjacent gardens (and two foxes!) with a market right around the corner.
Very highly recommend.

We travelled from Scotland with our dog (Bruno) to the Lexham Gardens in June/July for 5 nights. We had booked a 1 bedroom garden apartment. However, on arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded to a luxury 2 bedroom apartment. We had originally booked the garden apartment to have direct access to the garden area for our dog, but those rooms were all taken by longterm lets. The staff were absolutely amazing and attentive, they made us, including Bruno feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. The facilities were first class and location was very central to everything we needed. I would thoroughly recommend the Lexham Gardens to anybody thinking of going to London, and we will definitely be making this our first choice when back in London.

I booked a 2 bedroom with 2 king beds for 4 people and confirmed via email with Lexham Gardens before my visit that there were 2 king beds. When I arrived, we were placed in a room with beds for 3 people (a king and smaller bed). When I pointed out that it was the incorrect room and didn't have proper beds for all 4 people, they then admitted that we were downgraded to this room because the elevator had been broken nearly 2 weeks and that the room we booked was 4 stories up. We were given the choice of the room for 3 people + use of sofa bed or walking up 4 stories (every day...the elevator was never fixed during our stay). We chose to walk up the stairs. However, given this was a known problem, what I really wanted was someone to reach out to me before my arrival and let me know the situation. I would have booked into a different Cheval property nearby. Also, I was not offered any type of discount and told the manager would follow up with me. That was 10 days ago and I was never contacted. I booked Cheval based on a good experience with a different Cheval property however, I can not recommend this property based on this stay.

My family and I have stayed here twice. It is in a great location within kensington, quite centrally located between the underground stations of Earls Court and Gloucester Road. It is recently refurbished, so all the fittings and furniture are new. The apartments are quite spacious and with good layouts. However the best part of staying at Lexham Gardens is certainly the staff. All the staff are very warm and welcoming. They are always around for any kind of assistance. Will definitely be visiting here again.
