We've stayed here at least 4 times in the last few years and the brilliant thing is that it never seems to change. Same brilliant value for where it is, nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast - what more could you want! We were attending a concert at The Royal Albert Hall and the location was just perfect for a...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 3 January 2017 via mobile

I had previously stayed in the South Kensington area at another hotel and paid double the price that I paid here, and I thought the staff, room quality and amenities at the Grange were just as nice as the more expensive place. The lobby was a little old school, but once we got up to our room, it was very...

Stayed to celebrate a special birthday and was made very welcome by the staff, including a couple of lovely mini cakes in the room! Room was lovely with high ceilings and really nicely finished off. The bed was really comfortable. Will use the hotel again without doubt

Our weekend was so enjoyable and that started at the hotel. The extra effort that they went to with and in our room for our anniversary put such a smile on our faces on arrival and the constant wonderful service provided by all the staff at all times meant that the experience with them was lovely. It was our wedding...

Main reason for choosing this hotel was its proximity to local attractions (particularly the Royal Albert Hall). The hotel wasn't signposted very well (tiny plaque outside the building) but really was in a great place. We stayed on the fifth floor so was quiet and the room, although small suited us fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating and we would...

Lovely hotel, clean, tidy and easy access to London. Only negative is the breakfast is not good value for money. I would definitely stay at this hotel again but would buy breakfast elsewhere. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was clean and of acceptable size (for London standards) considering the price paid for a twin bedroom (about £90 a night). The surrounding area is quiet. Breakfast would have been ridicoulously expensive so we had it elsewhere which was fine. Good beds, decent bathroom, everything worked as it should. The hotel is just few minutes away from Cloucester...

2 nights stay for leisure. Hotel nicely situated near Gloucester street station. Very attentive service. Room with ensuite was compact but sufficient. Hotel has historic royal family background. Very clean with free wifi.

Very convenient location round the corner from Gloucester Road tube station. Not too expensive (£130) considering it was booked late. Good for Imperial College and the museums around Kensington. Very attractive building, good breakfast and bar/tv room, but the actual rooms are a little more functional. Would certainly stay here again.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
