My husband and I were very excited about taking our children to Europe for the first time. London is my favorite city in the world. Growing up, I always stayed at the Marriott Grosvenor Square which was lovely. But, i have to say I was very disappointed with this stay. First, they gave us a key to someone else's room....

The hotel in in a great location, and close to many good restaurants. It's s 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is pretty good. The rooms are his bit dated now and other hotels have better looking rooms.

Have stayed at this Marriott many times now - no matter what event we're in London for, this is our go-to hotel every time! The staff are always super friendly, the rooms/suites are clean and homely and the food (when not eating out) is great - including the Lounge. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend away - easily...

The London Marriott Hotel Kensington made my first stay in London very enjoyable. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was an easy shot for public transportation to downtown London. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic. Lots of options. The bar was cozy and a nice place to get a drink before exploring more outside the hotel. You could...

Family of four stayed at hotel end of March 2017. We were pleased with our rooms and the room amenities. Beds were comfortable and rooms quiet for quality sleep. Restaurant and Starbucks on site were fantastic. Location is centralized for many excursions. One of the two lifts were broken during the duration of our visit, but not a big deal....

Just stayed for 4 days. Hotel is very central near Earls Court Tube Station - took the Tube direct from Heathrow. Staff are outstanding - especially the guys in the Exec Lounge in the evening - very personable and remembered me every evening!. Hotel is super clean and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Thanks!

Free flowing prosecco and lovely tea. We were the only ones having tea but the staff were welcoming and courteous. The cakes and scones were lovely and light and the sandwiches were good. Some of our party weren't so keen on pumpernickel bread - others thought it was great!

Clearly a neet looking hotel, good service, really good breakfast if you choose to have it included in your stay (it seems a bit pricey otherwise) and good location. Our stay got a bit uncomfortable due to cold water over 12 hours. Would have gotten four stars otherwise.

The hotel was friendly and rooms, although small, were more than adequate. Beds were of high quality. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price of my room, was excellent. I was there over Christmas and had the traditional Christmas dinner which was fine. We frequented the bar and casual dining area. It was moderately priced and quite satisfactory....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
