We stayed for one night to enjoy London before Christmas. Rooms basic but comfortable and clean.Hallways shabby and in need of some TLC. Reception and dining room spotless and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast included in price and very good with plenty on offer. Would definitely stay again.

I only stayed here for one night whilst I was in London with my boyfriend to go see a west end. First of all we were checked in, and went to our floor and the whole floor smelt so strong of cigarettes. And the smell of them give me headaches so I wasn't happy when I went into the bedroom...

Booked this hotel for location just outside congestion charge. For a 1 night stay. On arrival everything seemed fine until I was told they would need card to hold £50 untill checkout and then it would be released 5 days later. I have never heard this, credit card details yes, a little strange I thought. After an argument with rude...

The room was dirty and dated, stains and marks all over the walls. The bathroom was nothing like the modern one they show in the pictures. Our room had a minging 70's looking orange bathroom. the shower had all mildew and limescale stains from a shower that was left dripping. Surprisingly i got a good sleep there my friend did...

We were 3 ladies from Norway visiting this hotel in late November 2016. We had one room each and we had a great stay! The rooms were good looking and very clean. The staff at the hotel was very serviceminded and the cleaning lady on our floor was excellent!!! Very serviceminded indeed. The breakfast was totally very good. It was...

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised how good it was after reading some very poor reviews. On checking in the receptionist Madu was really helpful and friendly and we were allocated a twin room on the second floor . The room was clean and comfortable with two queen size beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a huge TV, and...

Stayed here during a quick trip to London and really enjoyed it. Location wise it's close to Bayswater underground and not much of a walk to Portabello Road, Notting Hill etc. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful, all that i require from a hotel room. The breakfast was ok, not much choice and...

Not a pleasant stay. The lobby looks ok having recently been refurbished. The rest of the experience was unpleasant. The staff were disinterested and not very helpful. Our room was pretty basic even though it was apparently one of the refurbished ones-to be fair it was clean- calling it a double was optimistic with the space available very limited. The...

I booked a twin through Superbreak. Closer to the time was really concerned by the bad reviews, considering how much it's slated I was really impressed. Very polite welcome, and quiet location. We had a room on the 4th floor, which yes the bedroom is tiny, scrap the big desk chair n just put a stool in, and by the...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
