Stayed in the hotel for work - a conference. Very friendly check in, room was a good size and looked out on a lovely old church and gardens. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet - bathroom would have been much better with a proper shower rather than the positively dangerous over bath type. Conference facilities OK but banqueting food... The hotel is a good choice for lots of reasons. It's across the road from Gloucester Road tube station (so easy to get to) and a Waitrose supermarket (handy for in room food and drink) and a five minute walk from the Natural History Museum. I booked this hotel as a "Top Secret" hotel, and was very pleasantly suprised. Great value for money, fab location within a one minute walk to Glouchester Road station. The room had everything you could possibly need for your stay, and we were lucky enough to have a view of the lovely gardens. Will definitely stay again and would highly... More

Our family of three stayed in Crown Plaza South Kensington London this March. The location is the best selling point. The Tube, grocery store with organic food and good wine, and an absolute must to visit museums: V&A and National history. Clean hotel and really friendly staff.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
