I've stayed here several times in the last couple of years, and it offers a consistently excellent experience for what is sensible money, given the average price of a London hotel. The rooms are enormous. For our most recent stay we had a room with balcony that overlooked the London Eye and Big Ben. Also worth of note is Gilrays...

Stayed 3 night post cruise at this hotel. Cruise ended in Southampton England . Took the train from Southampton to Waterloo station which is very close to the hotel ( this was an easy way to get to London post cruise ) . Location was the best feature of this hotel if your visiting sites such as Parliament , Buckingham...

I live in London & chose this hotel for a weekend as a 13th birthday treat for my grandson. I booked personally rather than online. Staff were all, without exception, welcoming & helpful throughout the whole process & stay. The lovely swimming pool, one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel, is fabulous - as is the hotel's location...

Stayed her on the 4th August and the hotel room was great that we had, the room was very large for a deluxe the only let down was we had a view of a brick wall out the window, we did ask for a view of the south bank but was told that it would be a £40 cost extra...

We just had a very comfortable stay in room 512 - which is a very long walk from the elevators but is very spacious, with a separate sitting area and king sized bed. The bedroom looks out onto a stone sculpture and a bit of the London Eye, the living room has a view of the London Eye and the...

I booked this hotel because I was in London for 36 hours and needed something convenient for my meeting and would provide nice views and easy access to a few sites. The location is wonderful, very close to multiple underground stations and right on the Thames at the base of the London Eye and across the bridge from Parliament, Big...

Beautiful location!! Staff were helpful but not over attentive. Thames riverfront room was small. The beds were smaller yet and they had too move us to a room with two beds like we asked. That was a hassle. It was quiet considering the location and that was nice.

We booked our trip through Delta Vacations and confirmed a room with two double beds for the three of us at the Marriott County Hall. When we went to check in they said two double beds were not "guaranteed" it was EITHER a king bed OR two doubles. They said we could pay an additional 80 pounds (nearly $160 US...

We spent 3 nights at the Marriott London County Hall hotel. Although the rooms were expensive (like most hotels in London), we found the location hard to beat. Located close to all the attractions (our room had a view of Big Ben, right on the Thames river), this hotel is sure to satisfy those who want to be in the...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
