We just spent a fantastic wedding anniversary at the County Hall and the hotel is stunning. This is a beautiful historic property with views of the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, River Thames, and park. At night it is bathed in romantic red and blue light. All the reception, concierge, and door staff are so helpful and take the strain...

Amazing location. Decent spa and leisure club. Treatment was good but lacked a little tlc which is probably a fair summary of the bedrooms too. Staff on the whole could not have been more helpful. For a quick stay in London you can't find a better place to base yourself.

As expected of a 5 star hotel the rooms where very spacious, the beds where a dream and the towels where oh so velvety! Definitely a place to splurge if you really care for a relaxed travel style. The place is also very very convenient, as it was just next door to the Big Ben, London eye, the Thames river...

There is no doubt that this hotel is all about Location, Location, Location - the view from the bedrooms are unique - Westminster, Big Ben, the London Eye and the London skyline - and to be able to listen to Big Ben in your room is amazing. You can walk right out onto South Bank and Westminster Tube is just...

We stayed in a twin on the 3rd floor river side. The rooms was very spacious and comfortable. As a Gold member staying at the weekend we were entitled to free canapes and drinks in the bar. (A fantastic view of the Thames and Parliament). These were served without asking and no bill was given, so no opportunity for a...

Finding hotels to stay while you are away is a difficult task and trip adviser has helped me in several occasions so I thought I might try to help others with my experience. There are so many hotels to choose from in London and it took days of goggling to find this one. If you're there for just a short...

Before I start let me tell you that most London hotels are quite sub-standard and compact. Not this one - its huge , overlooks the beautiful westminster buildings/parliament and the big ben, has a bit of old world charm about it and is very accessible. I didn't stay here but booked a meeting room here for a day. Excellent, efficient...

We took our 15yr old to see the queen.. well the sights anyway. Our room looked out on the Thames and Big Ben, We expected to see peter pan fly by. What a view. The hotel is very large and is part of a larger still building that houses a museum, aquarium and another hotel. The london eye is right...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
