A perfectly located hotel just of the high street. Consierge desk is good. Front line staff in the reseption is not. Great bar in the lobby area. Hotel rooms are really small. I got an upgrade. To a strange designed room. Where I could not see the TV from the bed. Bathroom was ok. But again design has flaws as...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to travel to Cyprus. Check in was good, but the shock we were about to received was waiting for us, our room upstairs. The bellman helped us with our luggage and the room was no bigger than a Barbie doll house. 2 singles and poorly appointed. I immediately called the front desk...

Second stay here, and the allocated room this time was much smaller than last time. This is fine for the bedroom, but the bathroom is terrible. I'm not a small person and to get to the toilet is a matter of reversing in; using the sink is claustrophobic. whilst the conferencing facilities look nice and the breakfast is good the...

Perfect location, everything one needs is right around the corner on Kensington High Street. The Tube station is a block away as are several bus stops. Small but very nice room, immaculately clean, friendly staff, good shower, comfortable bed. Our room was so quiet that we slept late on most mornings. I found a great bargain here by using an...

This hotel is a perfect base for exploring London and its in the heart of Kensington . It's just a 3 minute walk from High Street Kensington tube station so getting around...

I booked directly with the hotel on the internet. Executive Club room, 3 nights. I have stayed here many years ago, so more or less knew what to expect. It is a three minute walk from Kensington High Street tube station and also a multitude of bus stops where buses can take you to most parts of central London. There...

We chose this hotel after reading reviews, and we're very pleased with our choice, an excellent room, very quiet and comfortable, with everything we required. The staff were all very polite and willing to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was very nice with attention from staff serving beverages, a good choice of breakfast, covering all needs. The bar staff...

A friendly welcome and a hand with the bag up the steps from the doorman promised a bit more than the hotel is able to deliver. A huge reception area with many self important "delegates" from various conventions has to be negotiated to reach the two tiny elevators, one of which always seems to be out of order. A trek...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
