Its in a perfect location to reach the main attractions of London, there are 3 subway stations nearby, restaurants, cafes, 7/11 s. The hotel offers a decent service and accommodation for an average traveler, who is not spending the whole day in the hotel room. wi-fi, shower, heating, TV were ok. I had a great sleep there, stuff were very helpful...

We stayed here for one night while attending Proms in the Park. The location is excellent for Hyde Park and Bayswater. It's also in a very quiet Georgian garden circle. First impressions are very positive. . clean, sophisticated aura. However, if you are located on the upper floors, it's hard work with luggage as there are no lifts (we went...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is well advertised on all channels selling our rooms, that Kensington Gardens Hotel is a basic 2 star property without a lift and that the Reception desk is manned from Phoenix Hotel during the evening and night. We hope to welcome you back to Kensington Gardens Hotel or Phoenix...

Just returned from our stay we had 3 double rooms booked all clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Location was good 2 mins from bayswater tube but that was one of the slowest stations so we choose to use queensway 2 mins further away. Quiet street and will definitely return. Beware of the stairs!!! Very hard...

I arrived after 9pm and the door was locked. There is a notice on the wall saying to go next door at the Phoenix Hotel to check-in. Once I checked in and received my key, I walked back to the door and couldn't open it. I couldn't figure out how to get the door open so I just kept pressing...

The Kensington Gardens Hotel is a wonderful hotel in a great area. The hotel was very clean and quaint and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. For the price, you can't beat it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is located in a flat in a wonderful part of London. The hotel is close to the action of downtown but also slightly removed. It is on a quiet, tree lined street. It is very close to two tube stations. It was about 20-30 minutes to Tottenham Court Rd and Covent Garden on the tube. I don't recommend...

I stayed in the Kensington Gardens Hotel now for the second time (2 nights end of September). It was equally good this time as the last. I had a single room which, though small, had all I needed. This time I had a room on the ground floor which suited me very well. The only down side was in the...

The greeting on arrival at this hotel was one of the friendliest I've experienced! It's small, quiet and very clean. As previous reviewers have mentioned it's the sister hotel of The Phoenix next door, and after 5pm you pick up your key and gain entry etc via their desk. This arrangement sounded like a bit of a faff, but actually...

Basic hotel - affiliated with teh Phoenix a few doors down. Like an overflow building for the phoenix (although somehow not quite). No evening reception (use the Phoenix). If it's a warm night this place is unbearably hot. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean-ish - bathroom was good. Honestly would not look to return if I could go elsewhere.

Lovely setting away from busy Kensington High Street. Service professional and efficient. Food tasty, well served. Good menu selection. Bar service was good, I always like when olive & nuts are served with drinks. Would be happy to recommend.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
