From all my trips, I can say that in Cumberland had the best service and experience ever. Amazing location with very polite, helpful and friendly staff. From the first step inside I was asked by concierge if I need help with my luggage and after I was welcomed with a very nice smile at the reception by Raluca Jitaru, who...

If you get the chance to go to the rooms facing oxford street, go for it! they are the best! Overall, I like this hotel, close to Marble Arch Station. Some rooms (towards the side street) are not well lit and I would not recommend these ones (single rooms).

Dear Femaletraveler_11, Thank you for sharing your detailed comments regarding your recent stay. I am delighted you liked the location. You’ll find The Cumberland Hotel where Oxford Street, with its incomparable shopping, meets Park Lane, one of the most glamorous streets in London. Hyde Park is just across the road, while Marble Arch Tube station - one stop on the...

The Cumberland is located in the marble arch next to the under ground and at the Oxford street. It is very close to the Hyde park. The reception and concierge staff are friendly and efficient. You can get an average breakfast in their restaurant. On the other side the rooms are small and looks outdated. But you can get the...

Dear Fajhan, We are delighted to hear the location was superb. Aside from the iconic Marble Arch itself, built in 1827 originally as a frontage for Buckingham Palace and moved to its current location in 1851, there’s masses going on in this bustling urban area. You’re very close to the world-famous shopping Mecca of Oxford Street and Bond Street, as...

Nice hotel, a bit busy but still well maintained. Strong side is definitely personnel, very friendly and very helpful (special thanks to Aneta for very kind, professional attitude). Hotel is located near Marble Arch and Hyde Park, one of the best places if you want to go for a walk or jog. Also walking distance to Soho and shopping centers....

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
