The hotel itself is surprisingly good for the price and the location is perfect for shopping or as a starting point to explore. I was very satisfied with this choice. I will recommend to everyone visiting London

4 of us booked afternoon tea through Wowcher, so admittedly a bargain price, but, the sandwiches were basic to say the least. 3 rounds of ham on sliced white bread, half a round of smoked salmon and half a round of egg and cress on brown. the scones were passable although we had to ask for more cream and the...

We had been travelling through the UK and after staying in small hotel rooms we chose Rydges because the brand is good and reliable in Australia. We booked a suite and were thrilled with the space and inclusions. The bedroom was excellent with a king size, comfortable bed and the bathroom was large with a separate bath and shower. This...

Old modernized hotel located central and quite close to a tube station in Kensington with things like science museum and natural historic museum nearby. Very serviceminded and helpful staff and our ( 5) rooms were all good and quite. We will probably return to this hotel during our next visit.

This was in the perfect location for the sites we wanted to see. Close to the Gloucester Tube Station, a bus stop right out front of the hotel, restaurants every direction, and museums you can walk to. The staff was TOP NOTCH - so pleasurable to talk with, assist us and kind! We enjoyed our breakfast that we included with...

We arrived for our afternoon tea to be asked to wait whilst they set the table (we had booked and there were plenty of free tables so we were surprised by this!). Once the table was ready we went over to take our seats (where we had been pointed towards rather than shown to the table). We were left for...

Dear sbentley1986 Thank you for taking the time to provide a detailed account of your recent dining experience. Whilst we try our best to ensure every guest has a positive and memorable experience, I understand your disappointment from the experience you had. Please note that I will be discussing this further with our Executive Chef and front of house team...

We stayed here after a thorough research. A good choice. Although a little old, the rooms were good, the staff at reception most friendly and the location a serious bonus. We were upgraded to a suite - roomy and with a small lounge. For London, this is a good hotel at a fair and good-value price. 3 minutes from the...

We stayed here for two nights and were thoroughly delighted with our Executive Suite which we were upgraded to for free as we had arrived earlier than normal check-in time and they could see by the look on our faces we were weary travellers being at the end of our holiday. The room consisted of three rooms - a relaxing...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
