My boyfriend took me to stay here for a surprise valentines trip and the staff were absolutely fantastic so helpful. The room was lovelorn cozy, and breakfast was very nice. Would definitely go back for a longer stay.

My stay at this doubletree was faultless. Every member of staff was so friendly and professional. The cleanliness of the public areas was noticed and the room was perfect and very comfortable. Just within a few minutes walk of South Kensington Tube station I cannot fault its location/price. Room service and quality of food available was also very welcome. For...

My wife and I stayed at the DoubleTree for a long weekend in February. We booked under a winter sale rate, less than a 100 a night except it was non refundable. Rooms were nice, good size tv, over 100 channels, valuables safe, standup enclosed shower, and a comply bed. Remember to bring ur UK power converters, hotel does not...

We stayed here on a recent trip to London. Staff exceptional Room small very little room to walk around claustrophobic, The 'state of the art' lighting systen was annoying. No shaving socket in bathroom. Woken up the noisy radiator Breakfast was disappointing for a Hilton. Selection poor Have stayed at much better and cheaper.

Well located hotel offering an excellent two-level suite. Review based on a one night stay in February (background of spending 80+ nights per year in different hotels around the globe). Location: The immediate neighborhood is residential but there’s a bunch of restaurants, bars and shops close by especially near the Gloucester Road tube station. This is clearly a very expensive...

Nice hotel in a good location close to the underground. The room was on the smaller size, but was clean and comfortable. I had my suit and shirt ironed at short notice. The waiting staff at breakfast was very helpful as was the staff in the lobby for check-in and check-out.

I took my adult family to London for the weekend and chose the hotel for location and Hilton brand assurance. The rooms were very new and clean, the service was good up until breakfast on Sunday morning which was a joke. Very few staff, dirty tables uncleared (50%) so lots of queuing for us and then no service and the...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here last valentines. We arrived mid afternoon after a long train journey to see happy staff ready to check us in. Very nice hotel situated in the heart of Kensington. Rooms are nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need. We decide to go out for dinner so we didn't get to try anything for...

I was a little wary after booking due to some of the negative reviews posted here but my own experience was wholly positive, all the more so as my room rate was very reasonable for the location and quality of this hotel. Good points: + Friendly efficient service from all of the staff (front desk, housekeeping and restaurant) + Excellent...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
